Hi there.
I am Alex and I'm 11 years old. My little friendies here on Gaia call me Cupcakes, Chibi, FC, or whatever senseless name they come up with. I started getting into writing when I was in First [ 1st ] Grade. I was always writing stories that were off topic those days... Anyways, now I'm good at it. So spare me. ^~^;
To begin with, I enjoy Romance, Horror, Mystery/Suspense, Manga, and Stories that make me cry my eyes out when it comes to books or novels, or plainly just writing. I am a very emotional person. Yes. I also like writing dark and disturbing stories that scare my friends away. Bwaha! I'm also a fan of Fan-Fictions. I have an account on FanFiction.net and my user•name is H i y o r i n. Currently I am working on...about 7 stories. I think. Heh.
Some of my favorite series or books are the Warriors series by Erin Hunter [ who is really 3 people ], Black Duck by Janet Taylor Lisle, a ton of Mangas [ literally ], The Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling [ I enjoy making Fan Fictions with that series, it's fun to mess around with her characters ], and a bunchies more.
What I listen to simply varies with the way I'm feeling at the moment, and it also inspires what I write. But over all the genres of music I listen to involve Rock, Alternative Rock, Gothic Rock, Hard Rock, Japanese [ mostly Anime songs ] a little bit of Pop, Punk, and Emo. A few of my favorite artists are Paramore, Avril Lavigne, Three Days Grace, The Killers, Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Evanescence, Shinedown, Seether, Lacuna Coil, Coldplay, The Fray, Panic! My other hobbies involve singing, Role-Playing and drawing. I was in a Quick•Draw contest for a Heroes Convention where I live and won 2nd place! Yayz. My drawing style is based off of Anime and Manga. I may upload some images if it's alright with the crew, but my scanner is dumb. I like to sing, but I get too scared when people are staring at me, wanting to hear me sing. I think I'm relatively good, but I don't know if I sound like a dying cat. > . >
I usually just sing by myself in my room. And yes, I sing in the shower. Hehe.
I'm in like a bazillion Role Plays, and I mostly play female characters. Mostly because I fail at boys. Sigh.
Some extra things about myself are that I have a pet rat. Yep, his name is Razor. I call him Raz for short. When I got him he was skinny and small. But know he is just a fat cow. I'm gonna get him an exercise ball... I'm also very sarcastic, but most don't get the sarcasm, which is annoying. Anyway, I am a very "A.D.D" and spacey person and get off topic in conversations very easily [ I blame my teacher. ] But other than that I think I'm nice, and I like to make friends. Ooh! And I like end the suffix -ies to a lot of words... : )

Hey, I'm Marissa. I'm fourteen, and I'm a band geek :]
I'm a whiz at the saxophone, and I can play every single one.
I like to write poetry, but I seldom do, because I find it difficult to put my emotions into words nowadays. It's much easier for me to write short stories and paint pictures with words that way, so I do that much more often. I read everything and anything, basically. As long as it can capture my interest and keep it.
I love music(that's not band music, don't worry, kiddies;]). My favorite three artists would probably be a three-way tie between Three Days Grace, System of a Down, and The Spill Canvas. I like anything with meaning in the words :]
Why are you still reading this? It's pointless, practically :]
Talk to me! I know this HAS to sound boring. But I'm not, promise ;]

Heyo. :] I just go by Kachmina. Easy enough to remember. 8D
So my favorite books (I'm scouting for fellow fans :]) are My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult (avoiding the movie right now) and Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith. Anyone ever heard/read that second one, possibly? biggrin ?
Mostly I write short stories. I tried to write a novel about 3-4 years ago, then last summer I reread the first three pages and decided to scrap the whole thing. I've spent two-three months reconstructing the background and plot, and now that I'm ready to start I have writer's block. Jolly good fun. biggrin
Though I'm not a huge fan of his style, I draw inspiration from the amount of work J.R.R. Tolkien put into his world, though there's no way I'll even attempt to reach his levels (seriously, the guy invented a complete language with multiple dialects).
Aaand as a reader/beta, I tend to focus on grammar (I do love my grammar <3), conciseness, and logic (it's amazing how little sense some things make when taken from the reader's point of view). Oh and I abuse smilies and parenthesis but I think that's obvious. 8D;
