blood bending?

Before Season Three Aired, I had made a role play character who could blood bend, and I felt cheap, although I had thought of it myself. But, personally, I believe that it is an amazing ability that should only be used by one who is at peace with the world and who wouldn't use it for manipulation.

Blood bending can be used to control and to heal. I support Blood bending.

Personally, I don't think that blood bending in it of itself is evil. I just think it's dark. It's more of a last resort ability. (Remember, Katara "saved" Aang before he crashed into Sokka's sword by using bloodbending to stop Hammah. It's not evil, just a dark concept) Something to use at the right place and right time. It's only evil if the person abuses it (Hammah cough cough). You've got to ask yourself; is it the gun that kills the victim, or is it the person pulling the trigger? Power itself isn't evil, it's how we use it that counts.

Though, I wish they did more with it in the show. Katara only used it twice, and while both times were good and had meaning, it just kinda disappeared and they never really gave it closure.

Bloodbending... Hmm... I don't fear it but I feel respect. Person who uses bloodbending must be very powerful or things can get out of control. But I think it's not that bad. When you're using it to make good things...

Its really not evil. Its just a further extension of controlling water. Everything has water, so in essence, everything can be controlled. biggrin

how is it evil?
if someone is trying to kill you you can use it to stop them. that's like saying guns are evil, its just a tool. The person using the tool can be evil or good.

I agree it's just about how you use things. Like Roku taught Ang " Everyone is capable of great good and great evil " or something like that... biggrin

alrite, when katara started blood bending, it totally freaked me out. and when she went to find the guy who killed her mom and blood bended an innocent person, i was so againist it! but i understand wer this is goin. yeah blood bending is crazy and insane, but its got its perks too i admit. so as long as a bad guy doesnt figuer out how to do it, everything should b alrite. razz

me to but when katara did it it was creepy!But i liked her when she showed it to zuko it was cool to him and that lady who taught her is SCARY!!!!

I think everyone is looking at it in the best possible way. It is dark and evil to those easily conceeded and to those power obessed. Just think about what it could do. You could kill a person or you could save a person its really depends wether the user is a good person or not. I think that people should have to take an oath before learning bloodbending saying I will use thid to save more people then i kill/hurt. Those who break the vow die in antartica (most sunlight possible no moon).
