sakabato kumori reinji sakabato kumori "not much different from felling a tree" hibiki remarked as he set the final charge. Hibiki had hollowed out areas to put each charge in with his hands using the superior strength he possesed as a demon, and with where he had placed the charges the building would fall into the street intersecting it at about a forty-five degree angle. it would more than likely cleavea large portion out of the building across the street but, it was an office building and was of no consequence. Setting the timer he shoulered his, now empty, bag and went to wait for the charges to explode on the top of the strip club a few blocks away. Rayne pulled down her scar revealing her face witch was utterly neutral. Her angelic blue eyes the same that most of her line carried simply stared at the tower waiting. As she waited she tapped the neon sine lightly a few sharp raps with her staff letting the wolf know she had made it as well as simply to pass the time. The duffel bag she had was completely empty and luckily there was only one guard that had gotten in her way. This particularly large machine that she had to push through was not much of a problem so why bring it up. with a flick of her wrist her six sectional staff fell apart into the more loose form it could take each section hanging from a connected chain bit the two ends. She then folded and stuffed her weapon back into the bag she used to carry it. "Kagai is not going to be happy about this" she muttered under her breath wile crossing her arms. "what?" Hibiki said not being able to catch what she said "five. four. three. two. one" as he uttered the last number a deafening explosion was heard throughout the city, the shockwave itself was visable. As the building started to crumble, citizens in the streets ran from thier cars in panic hoping to avoid the falling tower, to make matters worse a quarter of the cities lights were flashing and surging vibrantly. The volent transition from unbearably bright to deep darkness caused many civillians to get trampled under the feet of thier panicked brethren.. If one watched closely, one or two demons might be seen taking steps according to thier species to ensure thier, or thier companions survival. The impact spewed dust and debris for blocks in the pitch dark many robotics powered by the towers simply exploded as the building fell releasing it's energy all at once. Others simply shut down while a few went beserk, doing thier programmed tasks or attacking anything they saw. Truly it was a bloodbath. Hibiki stood with his eyes closed in that hellish darkness, listening, taking in the whole experience. ((looks like someone gets out of shopping! wink )) Rayne watched and as she did she felt a pain in the side of her skull. Yes the end justified the deaths in many ways ending this evil was all that mattered. But becoming evil to do it is not something she was completely prepared for. The human in her felt for those crushed are being murdered by the berserk machines those lives ended maybe not directly but in part by her hands. She killed before many times but most if not all where in the heat of battle it was never murder or close. There was satisfaction but at the moment that satisfaction was countered but deep inner debate on if this truly was the only way to stop this evil plaguing them. The screams unnerved her she looked over at the wolf who stood with his eyes closed basking. She simply turned and sprinted off in the opposite direction heading for the edge of the building. She built up as much speed as she could right before her foot laded on the edge.
She leaped from the building and screamed out in pain as red, orange, and yellow phoenix wings burst from her upper back. The pain was horrid when she did this, leaning on the phoenix she carried for strength. But the pain did not over shadow the benefits now that she was soaring she could make tracks allot faster. She flapped her wings and continued on a path leading her toured Bassai. With all the chaos along with the cover of darkness her presence remained reasonably unnoticed over the section of blacked out city. She didn't know why but she simply new Bassai is where she needed to be headed and exactly how to get there.
He bathed his name in blood and became a legend, but i cant agree that my path will achieve the same. I hope to make a difference and make things right....but i just don't know if i can.
