Scarlet continued running until she reached the school's parking lot. She didn't realize that that was where she was. The raven was flying along after her, as she was moving too quickly for it to be able to keep up with her. Her mouth was slightly open as she panted for air.. Until she tripped over one of the parking stops and fell onto the concrete. Instinctively, she threw her hands out in front of her to try to catch herself.. All she managed to do was avoid face planting on the ground. A stinging sensation in her hands and knees told her some of the skin had been scraped off.
A moment after she fell, the raven landed on the ground nearby and started cawing frantically at her, telling her that she hadn't stopped in a good place.. It also was a bit worried about whether she was okay, but mostly it was in a tizzy over the dangers posed by parking lots. Hey, it knew what was the most immediate danger. She didn't really respond to it, instead staying on her hands and knees while taking very deep breaths. The mute girl was shaking and kinda whimpering as she struggled to catch her breath. That feeling she got from Dunstan earlier had really done a number on her.. Which was mostly because she couldn't see. When blinded, especially in the way she had been, it tended to make you very jumpy around people to begin with.

For a few moments, Scarlet stayed where she was until she had sort of caught her breath.. She slowly eased herself back until she was mostly sitting on her knees, though her hands stayed on the ground. Now she noticed that she was sitting on concrete.. And the loud cawing of her raven. She turned her head in it's direction as if to listen to what it was saying.. And then someone nearby spoke. She let out an odd sounding yelp and jumped away from the voice, rushing to scramble to her feet. She hadn't heard them approaching over the caws of her raven, whom had flown to her shoulder as soon as she was standing. It didn't show her what everything around looked like, as it wasn't nearly calm enough, but it could, and did, tell her that there were two men.. One of whom had just been asking if she was alright. She gulped a little as she edged away from them both, nodding nervously.. Before her foot caught on the same parking stop as before, which made her fall on her rear, dislodging the now rather disgruntled raven from her shoulder. Again.

Scarlet tilted her head in the direction of one of the men in confusion when she heard his words, though she pushed herself back some more. Now her butt hurt too.. The reason she was confused was because one of the men was telling her to let him heal her. She didn't thinks she was really hurt.. It was just some scraped skin. But did this mean one of them was a healer? While she was processing this, her raven snapped its beak at the man that had held his hand out to it, clearly displeased with that. It was hovering near the girl, beating it's wings as fast as it could to stay in the air. Scarlet frowned and slowly moved her legs under her, then stood up, turning her head between the two of them. As soon as she was on her feet again, the large black bird left off it's awkward hovering to land on her shoulder. It wouldn't perch on anyone else except her and made sure that she knew it didn't like that guy already. She didn't really understand the second man's words. Animals usually liked her and she was honestly more comfortable around them than people. She reached up with one hand to gently pet the bird as she nervously waited. The way she was standing showed that she was likely to run away if something scared her again..

Scarlet turned her head between the two men, a gesture that was mostly a habit that hadn't been broken when she had lost her sight. She felt slightly uneasy around them, but not as much as she had around that boy earlier. It was more like she could be in danger, but couldn't really tell for sure. She often got this feeling around strangers. After earlier, it was only to be expected all the more. She shook her head slightly in response to the apology, then the raven make a loud cawing noise that told her it disapproved of the two strange men. She sighed a little as she moved her hand gently to its beak for a moment, silently telling it to be quieter. After a second, she started lightly stroking the smaller feathers on its head while listening to the two men talking about leaving.. And something about then dawn? She wasn't sure what that meant.. She also wasn't sure she would want to follow two strange men around the school. She knew of many ways that that could go wrong.

Scarlet jumped a little when she heard the sound of a phone going off. The raven almost lost its balance on her shoulder, but it avoided this by spreading its wings with a disgruntled caw. She heard one of the men seemingly talking to his father on the phone that had been ringing. She had good ears. She tilted her head in the direction of the other man, who was asking for her name. Well, yay for awkward questions! She wasn't sure how to answer that question. In fact, she wasn't really sure what was going on now. She just felt lost, confused, and vaguely uneasy about this whole thing. The sudden yelling made her jerk back away from the direction it came from with a startled yelp. The raven was doing remarkably well at staying on her shoulder, though it was clearly annoyed. She started edging back away from those two men, shaking slightly. That one guy - was he called Uither? He sounded so angry.. Which scared her. Angry people were scary things.

Scarlet frowned as the two men exchanged more words she didn't know what to make of. It seemed like there was something going on with one person's father and it also seemed like she was suddenly under the charge of one of them. She just stood there in silent confusion until the one called Camuel asked if she knew where her dorm was. She jumped a little, then shook her head quickly, her hand going up to nervously pet the raven's feathers. She didn't know where her dorm was. Blind girls kind of have a hard time reading and she wasn't sure if anyone had told her yet. The large black bird, for it's part, was now just sitting on her shoulder and staring suspiciously at the man who was still there with its beady black eyes.

Scarlet slowly nodded in agreement with what Camuel had said. It made sense to go to the office first.. It also would be sensible to follow this man there.. If he knew the way. She certainly didn't and neither did the bird on her shoulder. She continued lightly stroking the raven's feathers to sooth both herself and it until it seemed that she had accidentally rubbed one of its feathers the wrong way. The bird reacted by catching her finger in its beak and holding it for a few seconds, making her stop petting it. It didn't hurt her at all. This seemed to be a silent reprimand from the normally noisy bird. She curiously tilted her head in the direction of a bat that she sensed approach Camuel. What was it doing? She wasn't sure, but it seemed like the man was talking to it.. Which made her even more curious. Even though she really had no way of voicing any questions she had. She just waited for him to finish whatever he was doing with the bat.. A nod was the only response he'd get when he finally addressed her once the bat had flown off. And then she frowned as he started walking off. She would start to follow him a couple moments later when the raven started it's usual routine of telling her where to go. She seemed understandably wary of the ground though, sort of testing each step before actually taking it. She didn't want to trip again by accident.
