It was one called "El Deber" and it may translate to "The Duty" or something. I'm glad that never happened to you. Maybe Guatemalan kids are just too jealous and meaner than other kids... confused

Sorry Elliot! I no longer have the SNES cart but I did hear Simon's theme on youtube. 3nodding I suppose I could look up more themes from that game there.

Gee, I feel bad for yer PSOne. I had one too and I regret selling it. I'm thankful that I turned on a fan right behind it whenever I played mine. It would have sucked having to replace it. 3nodding

S'okay, and good luck you find that song... I did a quick search on YouTube when I was writing that last post, and didn't find the song in question.... but if it comes down to it, maybe some CV fansite out there has a MIDI collection of SCV4 songs or something that'll at least give an idea...

Yeah, that was a hard lesson to learn for consoles that use games on CDs/DVDs. Thankfully it only happened that one time, and it was at a point where PSOnes were fairly inexpensive, so buying a new one wasn't too much of an issue. ^^

You mean more BGMs from CV 4? I'll try later. Right now I'm watching this video of gameplay from a completely different game, he-he.

Talk about a harsh lesson, aye? I'm glad it wasn't expensive for you. Replacing the console I mean...

Being on-subject as I usually am, my favorite CV music/soundtrack would be Cross Fear, from Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles.

Sorry dude, I have no idea which one you mean. I might as well go look it up on youtube or something.

Let's see...

...mm, it's not exactly catchy for my taste but it's not bad either. Let me know if this is the one you mean cuz maybe you are referring to another track entirely:

Cross Fear?

Yes. That one. The game wrote it down as Cross Fear. Not Cross a Fear.

Really? Well, I'm not surprised cuz many games have had at least one mistake in the translation so...
BTW, would you care to tell us why you like that one so much? I'm quite curious about it. 3nodding

Hmm... well, at this point the mistranslation is too stuck in my head to *not* call it "Cross a Fear". Doesn't bother me, though. ^^

Granted the only versions of that song that I've heard are from the original PC Engine version of Rondo and one of the "Dracula Battle" arrange albums, but based on those I think the reasons why I personally like the song is that while it's still something of a heroic piece, at the same time it's somewhat darker and more pulsing venue than, say, "Simon's Theme" or "Vampire Killer". Kinda like a more industrial-rock take on a heroic theme. ^^

Well, I like Cross Fear because it keeps me concentrated when I'm fighting Dracula's third form. Dance of Illusions distracts me too much. I'm paying attention to the music, which gave Dracula a fighting edge against me. Cross Fear was pretty mellow, but was able to keep up with the harshness of Richter's fight.

Hmm, interesting...

I gotta say though, this "Cross Fear/Cross A Fear" BGM cannot enter in my top ten. I much rather listen to the two BGMs you mentioned Elliot. 3nodding
I find it strange that anyone can be distracted by a BGM but that's just me cuz, I almost never get distracted by that (at least not that I can recall) and if I ever do, I can always mute the console/TV set, right?

At least it's nice to read some reasons why people like what they like, don't you agree? wink

I suppose so. Though Dracula X Chronicle's version of Vampire Killer was a bit too flashy with the instruments. I prefer Bloody Tears over Cross Fear. Unless I'm fighting Dracula. Bloody Tears and the Dracula Fight don't mix that well.

That's funny, I don't recall hearing Bloody Tears in any of the Dracula fights I've had. I guess it must be cuz I haven't beaten THAT many games yet.
You must be onto something cuz so far, pretty much every Dracula battle has had it's own BGM, right?
And I don't think any of them has been Bloody Tears...

i don't think they ever had bloody tears in a dracula fight! ninja

You sure about that Yuffie? Do you suppose we need another opinion or just a clarification from Mr Richter? neutral
