Jiro gave a tiny knowing smirk as Otika stared at the file he had handed over. It was overly large for just one patient. But Alphonse was no ordinary patient. "It is, though it is all from after the fire. It is made up mainly of his write ups for behavior and disobedience of the rules, there is a list of his previously found hiding spots. The rest is detailed reports of whatever counseling sessions we can get him to sit through." Jiro explained. At Otika's words about seeing why his staff fluctuated so much he nodded. Alphonse was indeed a handful though he raised an eyebrow at Otika's evaluation of the boy.

Jiro shrugged when Otika said he was sure the staff had tried to save what documents they could from the fire. He wasn't sure that was true but that was because he had seen the after math of the fire and was almost sure Alphonse had used something to accelerate it. The mention of getting grey hairs together had Jiro giving a playful glare before chuckling and shaking his head. "I am sure we will." he agreed. "You'll be facing alot with him, and if you can't earn a bit of his respect in some way he will take every option available to him to make you leave. I mean it Otika, this boy will stop at nothing to get rid of you unless you can make him see you in some way only he knows. I am still unsure what caused him to cease his attack on myself but I have to say I am glad for it." Jiro stated shaking his head.

When Otika clarified about Alphonse's previous doctor he nodded. "You would think and I have tried but he refuses contact with me." Jiro explained. It was indeed fishy that the doctor refused to speak with him and had more money than he should for having retiring early. "That is what I thought but I have been unable to prove such things seeing as I have had no contact with him. I have no idea why someone would do it either and Alphonse won't speak of him either except to curse his name." Jiro sighed. It was such a mystery. He wished he had gotten Alphonse to talk more but the boy was so closed mouth that even the best lawyer hadn't been able to crack him. He supposed that was the boy's upbringing after all he had met the boy's father and he was quite the stern man.

"I see..." Otika let out; showing his disappoint learning that all this data is after the fire. "I guess I shouldn't have set my hopes so high. You did just finish telling me his files were lost in the fire. Though, that information combined with this would have been quite helpful given the current predicament we are in... However, I should not complain. At least we have something to refer to." Behavioral issues... Rule breaking... Those are useful pieces of information. What got Otika's attention was the teen's hiding places. 'They went in detail on the location and even have the substances and alcohol found listed. Knowing Alphonse, though, he has probably up his game and made his stashes harder to find. Would talking to the other patients be of any help...?' It was too soon to say, but Otika will definitely refer back to this in the future.

Page after page the doctor flipped through before he noticed that the room had grown quiet. Finding the silence strange, he looked up at the blonde. An elegant, blonde eyebrow arched in question and the doctor stared at his friend in confusion. He ran through their conversation within his head before it clicked. Jiro must have found his words describing Alphonse to be complexing. "I'm not saying my evaluation of the teen is correct, but from what I have seen thus far and what you have told me, I am trying to think of how Alphonse is as a person. This is purely my theory and opinion, however. If you have any inputs or counterarguments, please, don't hesitant to fill me in."

Jiro did not look convinced that the staff did what they could. Well, he couldn't blame the male. After all, a lot of information and files must have been lost in that fire. Not to mention the key files they didn't at the moment: Alphonse's data from when he was admitted to this establishment. "That will be the hard part, won't it?... Earning his respect." He stated with a sigh. It wasn't a question, but a fact. The teen was already so untrusting. "And I will stop at nothing to help him with his problem. He may want me to leave, but I am here to stay." His mind filled with determination, he closed the file and looked at his friend. He was quite serious. He would not let the teen's intentions of making him leave deter him from his goal of saving Alphonse's life.

Alphonse's previous doctor..... There had to be a way to get in touch with this man. There is no way he would just disappear like that... "That makes it even more suspicious. This man must know something that we don't... That is the only thing I can conclude if he is trying to stay under the radar like this. I guess for now I will look into the issue. If I need your assistance, I will let you know." He straightened up in his chair and gave Jiro a playful smile. "Now I have a very serious question for you, Jiro... How do you feel about volleyball?"

Jiro watched the disappointment on Otika's face at finding out there was nothing left from the fire. "I think he purposely made sure his went up in flames." Jiro commented. He had no proof however but he couldn't see another reason for Alphonse starting the fire. There had to have been something in that file that would play to the boy's detriment. Still he had never gotten much out of asking into the past, whether it was at the hospital or his home life before. "The only thing that file won't tell you is that he had a brother, an older brother." Jiro stated as he watched Otika flip through the pages.

He remained quiet after that letting Otika read and even looking over a different file himself. They had a new patient coming in today but it was of no consequence to Otika, no this would be Jiro's problem. He was also sure it would be a lot easier than Alphonse. He looked up just before Otika had and caught the raised eyebrow. "You are not far off with your evaluation of him from what I have gathered as well but I am sure you will learn more than I have of him. If I find something wrong along the way I will be sure to mention it." Jiro assured the other doctor.

Jiro hummed in agreement when Otika commented on earning Alphonse's respect. It would indeed be hard considering knowing what the boy respected was a mystery. From what he had gathered from previous nurses any form of bribe was met with down right hostility and merely trying to be the boys friend was always met with a stoic face. "I am not kidding Otika he will stop at nothing, he has even gone so far to get legal charges waged against some of the nurses here in the past." Jiro warned. His friend needed to be careful but he also needed him for this job. If Otika couldn't succeed he didn't think Alphonse would stand a chance of surviving more than a year after the next three months were up. This was they boy's life on the line at this point and the biggest hurdle was the boy himself.

Jiro of course agreed that the previous doctor looked more and more suspicious as evidence was laid before them. "You might ask the head nurse but I doubt she will give you more than she gave me." Jiro stated with a sigh. "I will be here if you need me." Jiro promised looking quite curious when Otika straightened up with a playful smile. The next words out of the other doctor's mouth had Jiro spluttering. "Volleyball? Whatever for?" he questioned.

"Wait... He has a brother?" This day was just stock full of surprises! Jiro never mentioned Alphonse's brother to him. All this time, he thought the teen an only child. "Does the brother have any significance to Alphonse's situation? Why wouldn't they at least put that on his background check? The parents are on there... So why not the brother?" All this information was starting to give Otika a slight headache. There was so much he didn't know about the teen and such little time to learn it all... What else was he going to learn about the teen next? That he has a wife and child with a dalmatian puppy hidden in the states?

'On second thought.... Let me not even joke... Its a terrible joke and if it turned out to be true, I may need mental help myself.' He thought, shaking the very idea out of his mind before going back to the reports in his hands.

"I would appreciate that; thank you." If he could rely on anyone, it was Jiro. He just had to make sure he did his part as well. Their number one priority was Alphonse's welfare. Though, gaining the teen's respect first would help in that, Otika knew it would not be easy. Especially since Jiro told him the blonde has filed legal charges! "That is not very reassuring... I'll tread carefully. I've seen a bit of his diabolical nature and talking with you has prepared me a bit better on what to expect."

Otika would have liked to speak to Alphonse's previous doctor directly... He had so many questions. This whole situation was extremely fishy, but he needed more to go on to shine light on this mystery. The head nurse may not give him much, but it would not hurt to try. The redhead would think about that another time. Right now, he could not hold back the laughter at the other's incredulous face. "Of course! I was talking to Alphonse and asked if he had any hobbies or activities he liked to do and come to find out he does nothing because the nurses are strict about the patents' time outside. I know it is asking for a lot, but I thought forming a small volleyball team would help with that. Though, if you are not comfortable with that, I can just make it Alphonse and I for now." He grinned at the other as his eyes sparkled with ideas. "I just need equipment, then I can take care of the rest."

"Had a brother, Alphonse is an only child now after his brother's death." Jiro corrected. "I think his brother does have significance especially since Alphonse refuses to talk about anything revolving around his death. His parents however do not think that is the case which is why any information about him is omitted from Alphonse's file." Jiro explained. He had tried many times to find out more about Alphonse's brother but at the time Alphonse had refused to talk about it, especially after his parents had shut down Jiro's questions hard. Jiro was however convinced that there was some connection between Alphonse's drive to seemingly drink himself to death and the death of his brother.

Nodding to Otika's thanks Jiro watched the man still as he puzzled through things. "Be sure you do, I would hate to see him try and end your career my friend." Jiro sighed. Alphonse had ended many minor doctor's careers before they had even begun. Some had still been learning too and had been interns. If he hadn't cared so much for the boy and want to see him get well he would have merely waited out the time until Alphonse could release himself from the institution and told no doctor to bother with him unless absolutely necessary. The boy had caused him so much trouble but he like Otika was someone who refused to give up even if it meant finding someone better suited.

Hearing that Otika had spoken with Alphonse about his daily activities and that the boy had complained surprised Jiro. Not that Alphonse had complained but that his complaint was quite a legitimate one and one that Otika was seeking to fix. "Well, there have been quite a few escape attempts when patients are unsupervised outside. Which has caused the restrictions but I think a scheduled activity outside could do them all some good. I will see what I can do about getting some equipment here in a few days at the most." Jiro nodded. It was a good idea, it would get the patients outside, exercising and working on social skills.

(I am so sorry for the wait!! I got swamped with two exams and a bunch of assignments last week until yesterday D: It was horrible!)

Alphonse's brother is dead? And yet his parents did not want that stated in his report? It almost sounded like they were trying to hide the brother's existence. "That is quite strange... Most parents grieve for the lost of their child, not try to hide them." Otika stated, puzzled as to why the blonde's parents would do such a thing. What exactly happened between the family to cause so many drastic measures? Did the have something to hide...? Something they didn't want anybody to know...?

Otika would have to immerse himself further when he got the chance. He could already see a lot of investigating would be conducted during his stay at this hospital. He just hoped all this would have a happy ending and not a dark tragedy. For Alphonse's health and his career... The thought of being in court just because he was trying to help someone did not bode well with him... It made him sigh in defeat just thinking about it. This was going to be quite the job...

At least Jiro had agreed to get him the supplies for his little plan. This brought the smile back on his face before he nodded his head. "Thanks, Jiro. I will make you a schedule tomorrow on what days I want to have volleyball and a layout of my activities I have planned. If anything, we can have one or two nurses supervise so there will be a less probability of escapes and I will, of course, keep a watchful eye." He was going to in charge so of course he would make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. When he finished speaking, he looked at his watch and gasped.. "My! Has so much time gone already? I should get back to Alphonse and see what he is up to." He gathered up the teen's file and patted Jiro on the back. "Thank you for all the help, my friend. I do appreciate you taking time from your busy schedule to assist me."

"You must understand Otika, Alphonse's family is a wealthy one and as such they have many secrets. Many that they never want revealed. It leads me to believe that something happened to Alphonse's older brother that would not put them in a good light. Which would make you think Alphonse would only be too happy to tell someone about it, but even he clams up when you mention his brother." Jiro explained. He himself had often sought information about Alphonse's brother in hopes of finding some clue of what had happened to have Alphonse start down the destructive road that he was on. But he had found nothing, both parents refused to even think of talking of it and Alphonse shut down all together. It was almost scary to see the boy have a lack of fight in him, to see no emotion at all. It was because of that reaction that Jiro knew Alphonse's destructive path had to do something with his brother.

"Sadly if you want to really be able to talk with his parents you have to get his respect. Unless they know that he will listen to you in some way they won't talk to you. Which is odd as well considering Alphonse does not get along with his parents." Jiro sighed more problems in the family didn't help Alphonse any. Looking up as Otika sighed Jiro nodded in agreement of the sigh. This was going to be a very uphill battle for the other doctor and there was no way to tell if there would be a good ending to this.

"Your welcome, just becareful with the volleyball. Some of the kids here don't like losing. Alphonse is especially competitive sometimes, but I don't think i've seen him lose either." Jiro hummed at that thought. Looking to the clock as Otika remarked at the time he nodded. It was later in the morning now, past breakfast. "You are welcome my friend, becareful and I wish you all the luck in the world."

"It is quite strange... But, regardless, I will do my best for Alphonse." Gaining this boy's trust is priority. If Otika hopes to help Alphonse, he needs the teen to give him a chance. And in order to do that, he had to break this wall surrounding the blonde. He may not know what happened to Alphonse's brother, or why the blonde teen's parents are covering up his death, but he was going to get to the bottom of this.

When Jiro commented about losing, it made the redhead smile. "You forget, Jiro. I am not one to lose either." Otika opened the door, gave Jiro a final goodbye, then left his friend's office. With ambition sparkling in his eyes, Otika walked down the hall. He would go find the teen and see if anything has changed since their meeting this morning. Alphonse may still be angry with him, but Otika will make sure to choose his words carefully around the blonde this time around. He may have been in low spirits before, but not anymore!

Jiro nodded when Otika said that he would do his best for Alphonse. It was why he had called his friend of course. He knew if anyone could help Alphonse that it would be Otika. If anyone could be as persistant as Alphonse was resistant then it would be Otika. The only worry he had was the time contraint, three months was a small amount of time to try and help someone who didn't want to be helped. "I know you are not, that is why I have hope." Jiro responded when the man waved his goodbyes.

Alphonse had left the library after Otika had in the morning in hopes of finding some sleep. He discovered that had been a mistake because when he tried to go back to the library only to find it locked. He had been startled at first trying the door to the library again, when it still hadn't opened he went to find the head nurse. The talk he had meant to have had devolved into a screaming match. He had been cut off from what he had considered his safe place and it caused the anger he had to surge up and explode.

'What is that noise?'

Otika stopped momentarily as he listened carefully. It sounded like an argument... When he started walking again -weaving through the halls toward the sound- this seemed to confirm his concern. It got clearer and louder the closer he got. He was concerned that a patient was fighting with another patient and was thinking of plans to solve the situation as civil as possible. Though he was Alphonse's doctor, he could handle an argument to help Jiro out a bit. Heaven knows that the blonde was stressed out enough! When he finally found the people, Otika was startled by the site. What was Alphonse doing arguing with the head nurse?! "Excuse me? Excuse me!!" He said; trying to interject at a level voice before it rose a little higher to get their attention. "What in the world is going on here?"

Alphonse was near screaming himself hoarse when Otika had arrived. The head nurse wasn't to yelling herself hoarse but her face was flushed in anger. She almost looked like she wanted to hit Alphonse. No one heard Otika when he first called out though some of the nurses around had but Alphonse had not until his voice rose. When Otika finally got Alphonse's attention the boy rounded on him. "Did you do this?!" he declared fury in his eyes. It almost looked like he was so angry he would cry.

Otika backed up in alarm when Alphonse practically jumped him. The teen looked so angry! "E-Excuse me? What are you talking about Alphonse?" He had no idea what was going on... Since their meeting, he has only been talking to Jiro until now. Did something happen while he was in Jiro's office? He looked up at the nurse with a confused look. "Do you know what he is referring to? Did something happen without my knowledge?"

Alphonse was watching Otika like a hawk when the man back up in alarm, he in turn advanced forward like a cat stalking it's prey. When Otika seemed to not know what he was talking about he stopped advancing forward. "The library!" he exclaimed almost seeming more angry that he was having to explain it.

The head nurse nodded when Otika asked if she knew what Alphonse was reffering to. "The library has been locked up pending a search, it could take quite sometime to search it. A few days to a couple of weeks to check the whole thing for hidden contraband." the nurse explained seemingly calm though her tone was a bit brisk as she directed her gaze at Alphonse.

"I told you there is nothing in there!" Alphonse exclaimed angrily. At that moment another nurse came around Otika as Alphonse turned to the head nurse and stuck a needle into his neck. The moment Alphonse felt the needle he whipped around lashing out but the nurse was already retreating away dodging the blow from the boy.

The library? Now Otika was even more confused! It wasn't until the head nurse began explaining the situation that he placed two and two together. The library is under investigation....?

"Why was I not informed about this?" Alphonse and him were in there only a few hours prior. But given the reputation of certain patients, it is possible to hide anything in just a few hours. Jiro didn't say anything though... And surely, Jiro would have mentioned this to him. He was about to comment when Alphonse beat him to it. This surprised Otika because the blonde sounded more angry; like he was offended that they would even think the library had anything in there. "Alphonse, there is no-" First order of business was to calm the teen down. Then hopefully they could have a nice, calm discussion about what has happen. What he did not expect was another nurse to sneak by him and stick a needle into Alphonse! Was she trying to drug him into submission?! There was no need for that!

"Excuse me?! You have no authority to be doing that to my patient or any patient for that matter." He blocked Alphonse's path when he began lashing out at the nurse. This was not the answer; Now Alphonse will only be more riled and less understanding. He turned his head towards the nurse in question and gave her a hard look. "I understand Mr. Hathaway is riled up about the present situation, but that does not mean we should use our medical equipment as the first solution to calm him down. He has brought no harm to anyone or acted violent towards anyone, so I kindly ask that you do not do that again."

The head nurse shrugged when Otika questioned why he had not been informed about the library being shut. "There was a memo that went out last week, you did not get it because you have only just arrived. I believe it was Dr. Hitakantana's job to inform you of such things." the head nurse answered. She of course figured the doctor had been too busy to remember, or perhaps had not even seen the e-mail, after it wasn't his job to execute the search. The head nurse merely glared at Alphonse when the boy shouted at her. She had often dealt with the boy's anger and inwardly she was pleased they had riled him with the library being locked. It wasn't like the child couldn't still get books from it. He could easily request one and obtain it, he merely couldn't go into the library until after it had been thoroughly searched. When the other nurse darted forward to administer the sedative to Alphonse she nodded approvingly. "No, we have every authority to do that to protect our staff. Your patient is a volatile and angry one, he has indeed harmed others before if last night's escape was any indication of the destruction he can cause. We are authorized to administer a mild sedative to any patient who appears as he does." the head nurse argued.

Alphonse gave a growl when Otika called his name knowing the man was going to try and pull him away from the situation. But then there was the familiar pain in his neck and he was whipping around to clock whoever had gotten him. Only to find his path blocked by Otika which only made him angrier. Alphonse let out a stream of curses and names directed at the doctor as he felt the sedative begin to work through his system while the nurse explained that she and the others had every right to do such things to him. Already he could start to feel the room spin and he gave a bitter laugh.
