Pleased to meet you! My name is ShadowIce. I've taken one semester in Japanese and have been to Japan. Among other things, at one time I had most hiragana memorized, though I've probably forgotten a lot of it as it's been two years since I've been able to get any formal instruction in Japanese. I'm a 20 year old female. I like to watch anime which means I've picked up the occasional odd phrase. I'm really excited about being in this guild because I want to learn Japanese. Given that there are no Japanese instructers in my area, I've been kind of on my own. I'll be flipping through the pages this guild has, and I hope to get to know everyone soon!

I live in Maine in the US, if anyone even knows where that is. I took a year of japanese two years ago when i lived in a different town. since i moved however, i have not been able to learn any more japanese. I am glad that i was able to find this guild because now i will be able to start learning more japanese again! biggrin SOme of my favorite things are manga, anime(inu-yasha, yami-no-matsui, yu-yu hakushyo), reading, playing the flute, singing, learning about japan and it's culture, and playing video games. I want to go to college to be a japanese interpreter when i finish high school, so i figure i should start learning now! I look forward to learning with you all!
