Finally got Perfect World volume three today x_x That made my week. Volume four is on it's way along with the actual third volume of Genbu Kaiden. I'm truly starting to love the series more and more, not to mention seeing Rimudo and Takiko slowly getting closer is just great.

The drama CD that came with was great too, loved the wallpapers on the CD-ROM and the little fortune-teller game. I haven't listened to the entire drama that happens on the audio part of the CD but it sure as hell made me fall over laughing. Ah yay for transexual ghosts who just want hot guys XD I could see the whole thing playing out in my head. It was so exciting to have my favorite characters come a little more to life. Now... if they'd just animate the darned series!

<---- Everything that was just said there (especially the bit about transexual ghosts) went completly over my head. Basically, what is Perfect World (originally I though it was Fushigi Yuugi but now it sounds like FYGK), and what language is it printed in?

FY Perfect World is a magazine only about FY and FYGK. From what I've heard, it has chapters of both mangas, and every issue comes with some kind of gift. It probably has more stuff, too. 3nodding

Its more what I like to call a mangazine, sure there's articles and stuff in it but basically its almost the size of a JCPenney catalogue (but way lighter) and features FYGK in the first third of the book and FY in the last 2/3. This is where the newest chapters of FYGK are published every two months. Watase's other works would be published monthly in Shoujo Comics, which features one chapter of many different manga-ka's series'. Perfect World is completely dedicated to the FY world.

Oh, and its printed in Japanese, and no, you won't ever see it in English.

How much is it?

On the site I order each volume from they're around $12.60, typically. That's, of course, after you figure in import costs. The thing itself is only like 450 yen.

Wedsday:: The FYGK series has already taken almost two years just to get to volume four. New chapters only come out two at a time every two months. I've had to wait months, and so have others, why can't the rest of you? =P Its not going to kill you guys, I assure you and its well worth the wait.

Why can't I? Because I'm one of the people that got used to reading her things after they had already ended. As soon as I was done with one volume I could pick up the next. It's definatly spoiled me.

Is that really alright? Reading scans of a licensed manga might ruin a person's appetite to buy the manga (did I just say appetite?) That's why I'm trying to stay away from FY GK (oh the temptation... xp )

Ah I see. Yeah, they're not big with me either. I only read translations when there's absolutely no site of anyone making scans.

I really like this manga whee So far i think it's better than fy. Of course, it's hard to tell with just the first manga, since all of Yuu Watase's first books in the series are SUPER COOL!, and then start to fade as the series progress. That is just my opinion of course. I hope it will continue to be really good. domokun
