I don't you can make them. You have to buy it.

Then how are they made before being sold? lol

They are just a board, nothing special about them. The whole point of using them is that it is just something to focus on. It has no special powers. People have tried using other things such as kype writers and things.
A friend of mine used a sheet of paper, didnt work though...

Well, for that you'd need a semi-possesion thing. You'd hold the pen or pencil and then let the spirit take over your hand. I've seen it done, though I still think it's false. lol
Nah, prefer to stay in my own brain thank you wink

*shudders*

I don't touch ouija or permit them in my house. Anything that opens a doorway straight to the heart of a person is extremely dangerous. I don't recommend using one unless you're highly experienced.

exclaim A shake of salt will not protect you from an evoked being. To even think so is simply foolish. Secondly, by the time your hand reaches for the salt, the damage is already done. No demon/spirit will stand still and let you douse them... rolleyes

exclaim Why summon a being that you have no idea of its intent. That's just asking for trouble.

exclaim Spirits/Demons are not trustworthy and tend to lie. They will say anything to get their way, which if they are the sort that envy the living... it is not a safe thing to invite them into your home.

Um, Ciora, you said that "I don't recommend using one unless you're highly experienced. "

How do you get experience without using one?

Quite simply. Become someone's apprentice, so to say. Learn from someone that knows what they're doing. (i.e. sitting in on a reading or ceremonial activity)

:edit: What I meant by experience... is not particularly with ouija boards. To understand what you're summoning is extremely important. How to handle it if something comes through, what to do with it, or how to stay safe if the situation blows out of control. Sorry, but I'm paranoid when it comes to possessions. I know someone that had an exorcism and it was not at all pleasant. You can lose friends, become obsessed, or become someone else entirely when being controlled by an entity. Creepy stuffs.

Nothing is easier than a pendulum board, but still, the same rules apply, the only downside of a pendulum board is that your arm can sometimes get tired. And something i learned while making contact with one, you have to touch the pendulum, you cant just hang it somewhere, and its good to have silver on the board, and even on you, as for the pendulum, i just used a keychain. Most spirits are friendly and dont mind you asking about how they died.

I like your explaination...but they are still to risky...i don't care how much experiance a person may have...you don't need to mess with something that is used to open a portal to literally HELL...i mean really...you don't get nice good things when dealing with a ouiji board, you get things that are desperate to escape, or wanting a way out of their eternal punishment, whatever that may be....i really think that specific tool of witchcraft is not to be messed with...because if they didn't work, they wouldn't have stuck around for hundreds and hundreds of years...but that is my opinion on this!

To tell you the truth, i've never used one. And i don't know how to use one. And i might get one, but...does it cause anything like....[in exaggeration]...chaotic? Like is there anything to be afraid of when and when not using it? And by the looks of it...as me being a big scaredy cat....Ciora's scaring me >.< She has a pretty good point...but so does Jaggy -_- Ok, i got a Ouija Board...is it ever good to like...use it alone? And why do people think that they are evil?

I have a story to share with the class.
I was playing Ouija with my sister.
We asked if there was a spirit who wished to talk to us, as we always do.
And we got one. His name was Stu. He died in the city which I lived in about 50 years ago. He told me he had buried something near a park downtown. When I went to search for it with my sister, what he said was there really was there. It was some scary s**t.
We got back to thank him for that adventure. He told me that he was in love with me. I don't know where that came from. But he told me that I needed to die so that we could be with one another for all of endless time. I was so scared.
Every time that my sister and I did the Ouija board, Stu would come up. Sure, occasionally we had other spirits, but every day we'd have Stu telling me he loved me, telling me to die. He had even come up with a plan for my death. It was very scary.
Some time after this, I had a dream that a brown haired middle-aged man was chasing me. With a knife. Stu had said he died from a stab. His perfect plan to kill me involved slitting my throat. Stu had told me that he was 27, that he had dark brown hair. What I imagined he looked like was the man in my nightmare. I couldn't have been more scared.
The next day at school, there was a new student in my English, Stuart. He had brown hair, and a deep fascination for death. He sat next to me. We became partners for vocab. We grew closer, and became friends.
One day, one of our mutual friends told me that Stuart had a huge crush on me. Being the kind of girl I am, I went to talk to him about it. He told me that he loved me. That I needed to die, so we could be endlessly together.
I was extremely scared. Terrified. I couldn't play Ouija for weeks. I requested a new teacher for English. I used different hallways so that I never had to see Stuart. Didn't matter because he moved back to his other school. Official story: He switched to my school because of a girl, but when his heart was broken, he switched to his first school.
After Stuart had moved back, my sister and I began to play Ouija again. The first spirit who talks to us is Stu. He asks me why I wouldn't take his love, and why I was so scared of him, and why I wouldn't kill myself so we could be together forever. I told him that I couldn't ever love him, he was dead, and I had a whole life to look forward to. Everything went cold. My sister's eyes went black. "You b***h!" She yelled. She threw the board and planchette across the room, but right before she did any harm to me, she fell to the ground. We never spoke of that night again.
Since that horrifying experience, my sister and I still play Ouija. Call us daredevils, or stupid, but we just wouldn't be ourselves if we didn't play. So far, I haven't heard from Stu since the day he tried to possess my sister to do harm unto me. But we're still young, he might come back.
Till that day, and even after that day, my sister and I will always be avid Ouija players. So, thanks for reading my wall of text. I hope my terrifying experience was entertaining for you.
