You know what... I'll do it! I don't feel like waiting for you...

Lia sighed as she washed dishes in her familes island bakery. Another boring, boring day. No homework, nothing good on TV during the break, and no e-mail worth reading. She had nothing to look forward to when she was done.

As she rinsed a porcelin plate, her little "sister", Mercy, rushed in. The dark-curly-haired 10 year-old carried a bag of goodies in her hand.

"Mom says you can leave." She said. "And take these to Tommy. She said she saw him skipping out on his chores again, he's probably hungry."

"Okay." Lia replied. "Leave them on that counter." The fair-skinned girl skipped away. After another 10 minutes, she was done.

Grabbing her sweater to protect her from the cold sunset, she took the doughnuts from the counter, and ran out of the kitchen. Her adopted mother was cleaning some tables and Mercy was playing with some coins.

Lia said her good-bye's and exited the shop. Even though the sun was setting by the ocean, there was a chill in the air. Before continuing, the blonde drapped her sweater over her arms, leaving the front open. Then she ran the rest of the way to the beach, hoping to find Tommy, Kouri, or Ren hanging about.

Yeah.... how was that? It's kinda long....

glancing up from his perch on a dead log, he saw Lia running up.
"heeey!" he called out to her, noticing a bag swinging energetically from her hand.

"Here." Lia panted when she reached her friend. "From mom."

raising his eyebrows, he eyed the doughnuts eagerly. "chocolate??? do we have chocolate?? OHH, WITH SPRINKLES!!! sprinkles???" chocolate with sprinkles were his favorite.

"Maybe." Lia answered finally catching her breath. "Look." She handed him the bag.

"alright, thanks, i will. are you gonna enjoy these loverly darlings with me?" he inquired of her.  

[Banzai18]

"My parents own the bakery. I can get that stuff whenever I want." Lia made her excuse. "Where is Ren and Kouri?" She looked around.

"mm, bakery, huh? lucky girl. umm, i'm not sure, i haven't seen them since this afternoon."  

[Banzai18]

Lia sighed and plopped herself in the sand. She dug her feet under the wet dirt and made little sand lumps with her hands.

There's a town in Destiny islands now, though you already figured that out, lol))


"You guys?! GET HER! SHE'S GETTING AWAY!" Yelled a tall teenage boy. Around him, five other boys all snapped around at once.
"Sorry, gotta run!" Kouri said with a wink while picking up the loaf of bread. Running, they chased after her. As she ran, they yelled "All that's up there is a cliff-side, come back now before we shove you off the edge you little b-" But she blocked out their calls. Dirt kicked up behind her as she ran. Tucking the bread in a bag, she zipped it, and tucked it in her pocket. One foot from the cliff side, she suddenly smiled....Leaping off and into the air. The boys screamed, trying to catch her, but she was long gone...

watching her as he withdrew his, oh yes, favorite doughnut (with of course a cry of delight), he said, "so, do they run that really great one right down that-a-way?" he motioned towards the way she had just run from.
