I keep getting repeatedly "account blocked" because either
A: A hacker is trying to get into my account.
B: Some other user thinks they have my Screen Name
C: something else.
I get these notices AT LEAST twice a day. I e-mailed gaia about it, and they're like: "No worries unless you got hacked! But it's probably just a user with the wrong name."
well...seriously? Every day for like a week? With the wrong name? Multiple times a day?
....I am concerned.

Wow that sucks... you should change your name then o.O -- it's the only surefire way to get it over and done with

Lol... I've had ShdwFlare as my name since way back then... XD Then I changed it coz of some annoying problem that no one bothered helping me out with lol

That stinks, Zellie. Have you tried telling that to the Gaia admins, that it wasn't just once or twice?
I've never had that problem. I had the username... man, what was it? goddez_11 when I joined, I think. Then I changed it almost immediately to Kiki Kitty Kraziness. XD" Changed it after that to ~+[ Katy-chan ]+~ for a while. Was like that for a WHILE. Then to Marshmallow Kitty because I hated the symbols.
Doubt I'll change it again. I'm a cheap-o.

That doesn't sound good. In any case, I would definitely make my password ultra hard to guess if I were you. Changing your name is up to you, but it might be better to be safe than sorry. I have had my username since I started Gaia in 2005, so I understand about not wanting to change it. Plus, the first members got the first picks at the great names that can't be duplicated. If you changed your name even temporarily, Zellie might be taken. I hope that all of this is resolved quickly. It would be awful if you were hacked. sad

Wow Zellie, that seems to be happening to alot of people actually. sweatdrop I would just change my password. I hope this all turns out well...

I've cyphoned off all my expensive items to a mule, and changed my password. I'm gonna contact Gaia again if it happens again.

That sounds like a good idea. You might have been targeted because of your expensive items in the first place. It would be a shame to lose them after all of these years. xp
Malomy, you said that this is common? Did you hear about similar cases in the community discussion?

just popping in briefly to say that I haven't been on 'cos of being busy. but I got the job yay!! and now I just have to find an apartment for my partner-boo and me.

Yeah I heard about this happening in the GCD. Apparently, hackers are just trying to force their way into people's accounts now. It's sad really. I hope they don't succeed.
