Kirra raced back to her dorm which was mainly used for storage and slammed the door. With her back against the door, she slid down to the floor and started sobbing. She shook uncontrolably. It was starting, no matter what. The council would never listen to any of them, and would begin the war if they liked it or not. Kirra never liked wars, fighting was okay in her book, especially for self defense, and in her fights, everyone ususally makes it out alive. But not wars. In wars, atleast someone dies most of the time. In wars, its not about winning or losing so much anymore, its more of a matter of life and death. If you live you win, if not... well, I think you get the picture. The thoughts and images flashed before Kirra uncontrollably, and didn't stop until she was half asleep. Once she regained control, she started packing her things. That was the first night she had actually slept in her bed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jack and Chris slipped out of class unnoticed, much to Jack's dissaproval, and raced home. As usual, Chris was in the passangers seat nodding her head to music that shook the car, but unusually, Jack was silent and focused, but not on the road. "Alright, you are within 10 mph of the speed limit. What gives?" Chris raised a questioning eyebrow towards her brother. "Is it that Anastasia girl again?" Jack slammed on the brakes at the last second for the stop sign, still partially dazed, and caught off-gaurd by his sister's question. "What?" "Oh, you like her and you know it!" cooed Chris. Jack shot the 'I don't want to talk about it' look to Chris and continued driving, this time more attentive to the road, and almost back up to his normal speed.
Kirra awoke from the tap on her door. Still hazzy and a bit groggy, she stood up from her bed, grabbed her brush, and answered the door. "Hey, what's up?" she asked, a worried tone in her voice. She brushed the snarles out of her hair, and leaned against the doorway, still sleepy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "SHOOT!" a sudden outburst exploded from Chris' mouth. "I forgot some books at school! Turn around!" Jack did as was ordered. On the way, they almost passed up Anastasia. Almost. "Need another lift?" he called out the window. "Little miss smarty over here forgot some books. If you don't mind a couple more seconds at school, we could drop you on the way back." Yeah, he was back to normal again. Chis waved from the passanger's seat, then hit Jack for being so sarcastic about her. Jack just laughed it off.

"Oh no!" "Please tell me you didn't forget something again," Jack groaned. "No," Chris assured, "I just needed to do something for mom as soon as we get home. If you don't mind, can you just drop me there? It seems as if we will pass home anyway." Jack shrugged, "I'm fine with that." He soon slowed at a large white house with big windows, but seemed quiet for the most part. "There, home sweet home. Now get out of my car," he teased. Chris stepped out of the car, "I expect you home soon. See you at school tomorrow, Anastasia!" she waved and ran into the house. Jack patted the passanger's seat, "It might be a little helpful to sit here. Can't really see if you point somewhere from back there."
