size zeros are creepy...even though my GF says i could probably fit into a 00....what size is that in mens?
but girls should be comfortable with how they are, as logn as they like don't let themselves get fat, i don't mean to sound shallow, but i know some people who have done that and they're like what the hell? i'm fat?

What's your measurements?

*not all sizing is the same*
Ref chart (in US):

Chest Waist
00: 26-28 20-22
0 : 28-30 23-24
0-2: 30-32 25-26
4-6: 32-34 27-28
8-10: 36-38 30-32
12-14: 40-42 33-35
16-18: 44-46 36-38

As for that fat thing, it's no wonder some women are paranoid about weight with attitudes like that seen as acceptable.

I hate rteh whole cult of scrawnyness.

I can undesrtand wanting to lose weight if you are too heavy, as in heavy to the point where it may lead to health problems, but if you're healthy, then it's perfectly fine to have a little tummy! ^_^

Being bisexual, I find girls with a little meat on thier bones to be more physically attractive than super-skinny girls.

I myself am not skinny, nor am I heavy. My waistline fluctuates between 36"-38", with my weight ranging from 170-178lbs, and I'm cool with it. I'm happy with my size, and happy with who I am.

Alongside that, the fact that so many people are resorting to unhealthy fad diets or turning out annorexic is so sad. People shouldn't need to do those things in order to reach society's ideal image.
What the hell is it with this ideal image anyways? It seems that the 'ideal' woman by societys standards is super-skinny, big-busted, easy, obedient, and not overly intelligent. That's frigged up. In my opinion an 'ideal' woman should be healthy, independent, kindly, intelligent, and happy with who she is.

There used to be an anorexic girl that jogged around my village. All she is known as is the 'anorexic girl' and she's instantly known, to much "I can't see why she won't just eat, she looks horrible". While true, it depresses me that such disorders are derided, not tried to be understood. On the subject of the girl: we haven't seen her recently.

Just remember what lysee said, it's a disorder. 8/

what really fascinates me is how these cuturally-relevant ideals originate. by what strange reach of the human mind does it become attractive to contort and distort the natural human form?

does anyone know of any animal species that actively seeks to alter its appearance in any way to attract a mate?
peacock females will prefer males with larger and more colourful plumes, but these are naturally-occuring endowments.

why is it that, for example, the grotesquely cinched waist of a corset-wearer is more attractive than a natural waist?

why are people sexually aroused by well-placed globs of flesh? fat and muscle? why bones?

what the hell are sex organs, anyway?

...why are we here? (shuts up now)

Well.

I've got... going by female measurements since I wear my pants on my hips and not my true waist, a 29-inch hip measurement.

I've got a 26-inch true waist.

I have been defeating anorexia lately, but otherwise it's been a struggle to recover since late 2004.

However, I weigh 146 lbs. and am 5'7".

Ah, something else misunderstood by the media; guys get anorexia too. Apparently the male of the species is immune from that kind of disorder because you're all self confident.

All the best of luck hun

Daniel Johns suffered from anorexia when Silverchair became way too famous way too fast.

Thin is in. If I weighed anything over 105 I would have to kill myself. I wouldnt be able to handle it. Face it, people just look better thinner.

When I lost all of my fat (40 ******** pounds! O-o) I still did think I was really fat. But, my counceller told me the bulge was my organs and the only way I could look any skinnier was to take them out. Think back to the last time you saw a runway model... OMG THEY HAVE NO ORGANS!

Measurement pertaining to an individuals fatness cannot be simply measured with "waist" and "chest." Some people have different frames; each conveying a different size. Example: If you are a size 8, it does not necessarily mean that you're fat. Likewise, if you are size 00, it does not mean you are anorexic or underweight either. It depends on the bodytype.

No more reading the chart provided and taking it to mean anything relevant to your weight.

i believe the term you're searching for is 'body-mass index.'

I do not understand the title. Are we supposed to be debating the need for even having a size zero or are we talking about the sickening ways in which people try to achieve that size? If it is the former then I say keep the size. Both my mother and sister are natural size zeros and they like their clothes because they actually fit. If the latter then ignore my previous statement and heed this new one. Go with whatever size you naturally are. If through regular diet and exercise you are a size four then be the most wonderful size four you can be whee

I am very comfortable with my weight. Fortunately I am not prone to anorexia. I couldn't be anorexic if I tried. My body has a low tolerance for abnormal bloodsugar levels. I get moody, mean, migraned and miserable when I'm not eating regularly. It has something to do with the fact that my dad is diabetic I think.

So, watching a program about a woman trying to become a size zero (UK size 4), I became rather disgusted that women try to aspire to this.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/6305657.stm

Holy crapping shitcakes eek I don't think I was ready to see that gonk

Isobel Bellamy
Guys, are you actually attracted to super-skinny women? In my experience, most guys like something they can actually hold, but one did admit that the thought of Paris Hilton turned him on (seriously?!).

I'm a guy and I personally don't find super-skinny women attractive. I actually like a women with "natural curves" whee

Isobel Bellamy
Anyone else see a strange paradox where large breasts are desired but also a 22 inch waist. How on earth could you support more than a C cup with that waist?! eek

This may seem weird comming from a guy, but the whole "the larger the breasts the better" thing doesn't work for me. I prefer natural and a size suits the body.
