You know, I hardly remember any monsters from CotM so I have no idea what a brain float is or looks like. rolleyes

Just that: a brain that floats. Konami isn't exactly known for creativity in its earlier days. sweatdrop

Oh no, not those horrible brain floats. Those wretched things that float back and forth! Of course, as you don't acquire the griffin wing until after Camilla, the only possible way of reaching some high places is by equipping the ice whip, freezing the brain floats, and jumping up them in that order. Mind you it didn't help that you were almost guaranteed to get smacked by the one above just as you mount one, or get zapped by a ball of electricity they shoot from their eye. Oh and the other brilliant thing. You hit them more than once and they die, meaning if it unfreezes and you're still not at the top, you have to exit the room and start all over again. *grumble* burning_eyes

*laughs* Precisely. Pain in the head, isn't it? (hm, head, brain? Anyone get it?
...no? crying Nah, didn't think I was that funny either...)

Your wit is most peculiar, my dear, but I do get it. lol

Although in that said game, I must say that the fallen angel and Lilith are a pain in the bad eye! I mean, good lord! I walk into the room, get chased by a bat-chick, and then beaten to death with flying orbs. How demoralising.

Hm, a bit like being beaten up by a puny little fleaman on Crazy Mode, CoD. You turn the corner, not expecting anything, and suddenly - BAM! crying

Yes. Similarly if you try Level 1 hard mode in PoR, you can be hit twice by a zombie and die. Believe me, it is the most infuriating experience!

Ha-ha Oregano made a funny, granted it wasn't a great funny but still. mrgreen
I do know about bad jokes cuz I sort of specialized on that myself, he-he. sweatdrop

Anywho, I think I recall those brains that float now. I don't remember if I actually made it to the top with just the ice whip...

I would have never made it to the end in PoR on hard mode Lv1 without a special armor. It's amazing how everything can kill you so quickly without it! 3nodding

...oh, do you mean the spirits from LoI and CoD, D-Mistress? The floating animal skulls that come along, take a huge chunk out of you with their teeth and then leave you feeling considerably annoyed? (pardon me if I have it wrong sweatdrop )

Ah yes, I remember those too; the ones that hit you about five or six times before you can shake loose of them. They're not so bad when it's one at a time, but when a couple gang up on you, that can be annoying. :/

You know, I just spent a lil while playing Aria & Dawn of Sorrow and I couldn't stand the fleamen who use daggers to attack. Aren't those even more obnoxious? I thank God that those weren't added to the bestiary in CoD or it might have been even tougher to deal with them. rolleyes

I hear ya! I hated those things in the first CV! The one time I was able to get to Death's floor, one of them left a dagger while I was jumping and killing it, since you can't control a jump in mid air, I landed on the darn dagger and lost my cross along with the roman numeral 3. I was so pissed that I never picked up the game again... stressed

I hated the boss fight againt the puppet master.

The most annoying enemy would have to be the mini devil, especially when there's 20 thousand of them

Ah yes, the puppet master was annoying.

And yer right about the mini devils. When there's lots of them and other regular enemies, they can be a real pain. I found that the hard way on SotN when I wondered into the reverse chapel. I had to use the "soul steal" spell every so often cuz there are a lot of enemies there.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 05, 2009 7:16 pm
SOTN, the Guardian Knight in the Inverted Castle. There seemed to be no way for me to get past the sword and flame attacks, and even when I did he'd put up a shield that I couldn't get past. And when I finally managed to sneak a hit in with my sword, it did minimal damage!
It wasn't until I beat Galamoth and obtained the poison cloud where I could finally kill those Guardian Knights without too much effort.

I think Abbadon from DOS was the most troublesome for me until I upgraded my Buer soul and was invincible to his plague swarm. But it took me ages to figure that one out @.@

Hmm, I think I know which you mean. Those can be trouble but they go down in one hit with the muramasa. Granted that you have it at the most powerful level it can be at, of course... mrgreen

It's funny cuz I don't remember ever using the poison cloud against them...

I hear that! It's a good thing that the "Buer" soul has that kind of upgrades. Otherwise it might have been too tough for me too.
It's a pain in the arse to try boss rush with Julius mode cuz Abbadon always kills us. stressed
