EbonyScales Hey everyone! It's an extremely long time since I last came around and checked out everything going on in Gaia. Over two years, actually. How is everyone? Wow! It's been that long! eek Welcome back! xd I'm doing well. I'm substitute teaching, and I'm also waiting to hear back about a teaching position in Japan. biggrin

It's the sister city of the city where I attended university, so I put that as my first choice. I still haven't heard yet about whether or not I got in. The waiting is terrible! Do you know where you'll be?

I'm going to try again in the fall, and hopefully I'll be better prepared. The real question is what path is my professional life going to take this year. I'm torn between going back and getting my master's in education, and trying to pursue a career with my English degree. The problem with the latter is that I tried for a year and a half, non-stop, and I kept being told that I didn't have enough experience. Now that I have those memories, I'm thinking that education might be a safer bet. Plus, I can teach on military bases outside of the country with my teaching certification.

Teach those unEnglishafied non-English people English! biggrin I was seriously thinking about it, but after they past few weeks of subbing, I don't know if I'd have the stamina to put up with high school kids all day long for the rest of my life. Maybe I can find a less stressful way into Japan. confused I'm still not giving up on JET though. I'll keep applying year after year until I finally get it!
