Child's Play *Open, but Still Accepting*

[Ombrophobia]

Niku looked up at Shin and stifled a gasp, as juice form the canned fruit escaped the other boy's mouth. Again, he felt an uncomfortable stirring in his pants, and ripped his eyes away from his friend. On the other hand...

"Can I have some?" He asked, leaning over, and holding his mouth open for Shin to feed him.

"What are you, a baby?" Shin joked, but fed him anyway.

SLOW MOTION!

The tips of his fingers briefly slid over Niku's lips as he lightly pushed the small fruit into the other boys mouth. Shin felt his cheeks heat up slightly because of the close contact, but he barely paid it mind.

Niku sucked the fruit into his mouth, along with Shin's fingers. He looked up to see a blush marring his friend's handsome face, "Mmm," he said, as he closed his eyes. He sat back up, and smiled contently, "It is sweet," he confirmed as his smile widened.

That is sensual!))

"I...I know right?" Shin looked away, blushing deeper. Realizing his fingers were still on Nikui's lips, he pulled those away too. "S-Sorry..."

Niku smiled, and failed to stifle the giggle that escapes his tingling lips. Deciding to chance the subject for both their sakes, he said, "The roof looks good. When do you think you'll be done?"

"Probably by the end of the day." Shin said confidently even though on the inside, emotions seemed to be swirling inside him. Why had he blushed so much? It was weird. Why did his heart skip a beat when Nikui looked at him that way? Again, very strange.

"It looks good so far!" Niku said encouragingly, "Is there anything I can do to help?" he asked, though he knew the answer. He tried to think if they needed anything else.

He was sure the electricity wasn't working, but the water was. Maybe if he swept, he could mop the floor too? Niku decided to clean the whole house - it was really just the shambles of a living room and kitchen left, but it was plenty big.

"I think I'm gonna get a broom, and cleaning stuff later... Maybe we could really clean up this place?" he asked, looking up at Shin again.  

[Banzai18]

"No, I'm gonna do that." Shin said. "You just go get more supplies."

"Okay, I'll get going on that now," he smiled, and felt like he should kiss Shin's cheek before leaving. He didn't. Instead he went to the next few houses over.

The third one over was a blue house. He had a pile of planks of wood. Various sizes, as well as nails, and a few tools he found in a garage.he went to pick up what was a board, only to find a person. A dead one, probably from the explosion, or being trapped, but a dead person non the less.

Niku screamed, and dropped everything in his arms, before falling to the ground.

He didn't know how long he sat there, looking at the man's face. He must have been a grown up, but Niku'd never seen him before. It was dark, when he finally went to leave, scared of something. He didn't really know what of, but he was scared, and he wanted Shin.

Shin was up past dark waiting for Nikui to get home. He somehow felt something might be wrong, but he didn't know where Niku was so there was no way to help him. He got underneath the blankets, but sat up, waiting for his best friend to come home.

Scared, and tired and cold, Nikui almost got lost, looking for the house he was now living in. When he finally found it he ran through the door, and paused only to look for Shin. He was sitting in their bed, waiting for him.

He sniffled, and ran over tot he bed, throwing himself into his best friend's arms, before he burst into tears.

"What happened?" was Shin's first response. He ran his hands through his friends hair and held him like a mother would hold her son. "Hey, Niku-kun. It's okay. I'm here, okay."  

[Ombrophobia]

"There.. T-there w-was a... H-he w-was..." Niku cried even harder, trying to talk about it. He shook his head, and clutched Shin's shirt, eventually crying himself to sleep.

Shin sighed as he kept rubbing Nikus head, which was now in his lap, as the young boy slept. He held onto him as he slid down next to him so he could sleep as well.

Except he couldn't get to sleep. He licked his thumb and wiped away the tracks over Niku's face the tears had made. He hugged the other boy softly (partly for support, partly to keep them warm) and resumed playing with his hair.

When Niku woke up in the middle of the night, Shin was asleep. He didn't realize it though, and all he saw was Shin's dead body, "Shin?" he asked a little too loudly, "Shin?!" he asked again, when he got no response, "SHIN!" he shouted, shaking the boy violently, as fresh tears rolled down his cheeks.
