Both of those sound good, actually, but since I am an incredibly lazy roleplayer, I will say that I have a slight preference for the beach theme because it seems that it would be the easier one to do. mrgreen

I launched it as a way to revitalize the guild after I had been gone with student teaching and stuff. It took me a couple months after student teaching was over to get back on Gaia. It kind of died in my absence. xp But, with a beach theme, I guess we would be coming full circle. I have mixed feelings though. A beach theme would be easy, but we've never done an underwater theme before. confused

I guess just see what everybody thinks. You could always just have a vote or something, or keep monitoring the posts in this thread, and just go with the one that gets the most interest. I'm just one person, and a very lazy one at that. So...yeah.

Alternatively, you could do something like a camp theme. It's summery, and we'd probably do a better job than last year's rival camp summer event. Plus it'd be a good way to peg certain types of characters.

We were just trying to figure out the details for a guild event. 3nodding Btw, I will get started with all of that stuff tomorrow or Thursday. I've been busy these past few days and I haven't had much computer time.

I finally have things underway for the guild summer event. I have the crew members discussing how we are going to throw a party for all of you right now. biggrin
As for the guild description on the front page, does anyone want to change the wording of it? I can find a good background for it and make it look pretty snazzy, but I was just wondering if anyone thinks that the words in the description should be changed and updated.
*Edit - I just looked at the guild home page, and it seems like they've changed the format. So, the description at the top, seems like it fits better now. Now the question is whether you think the description looks better at the top or the bottom of the guild banner.

People usually associate August with summer, and September with fall, so I think we'll be good with the summer event as long as we can get it off the ground by the end of the month. I'm going to try to recruit some workers. 3nodding

I don't want summer to end either! I haven't been swimming a single time this whole summer. I'm going to have to kidnap a friend and go swimming at a state park or something. I prefer swimming in pools to swimming in lakes, but a lake is better than nothing.

It looks like the official summer event is launching soon. I was wondering if they were going to get around to having one this year. I will need to send out an announcement about the Vetus Gaianus summer event sometime next week. I'm thinking about August 23rd-27th.
