I need to figure out something fun for everyone to do here that will bring people back in. The first couple events that I threw were huge successes, but the past few have kind of fizzled. confused Do you have any idea about something fun that we could all do?

Lolz, Iono... I just saw the announcement and found it to be awesome. It has been rather quiet in here. sad I know that I wasn't making much of an attempt to be active in here during crunch time with the Annual Ball. But, that got pushed back until July, so I have more down time now. A cosplay contest sounds like a great idea! xd There can be two categories: tekteked cosplay avi and then people showing up wearing their own cosplays on their real avi's. biggrin Btw, I put the Peyo thing in my sig on the off chance that it is connected to the storyline and might result in my getting a prize. lol

I was looking for cosplay outfits last night online, and I found one for Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket for $78 with free shipping. That's not bad at all. I really wanted to go as Tsukasa from .hack//SIGN, but that one costs $180. I guess Nicolai could be Peyo's dad if he got Ruby really really really drunk. It might be a slight possibility because he is the only other red head on Gaia. But, I'm more of the opinion that Peyo's father is a duck. blaugh

LoLz, what a coincidence that Gaia is holding a cosplay contest too... HRMMMMMMZ).

And yeahhh... see that's why I'm like okay-ish about not being able to go to anime conventions and stuff at the present coz in teh future when I gots a job and all it'd be better (besides... it doesn't sound as fun going not all dressed up and such)

I could really see that! That would explain the wings! blaugh You don't have to be in cosplay to enjoy an anime convention. There are guest speakers and panels enough to keep you occupied, or at the very least you can hang out in the anime viewing room. I will admit that it's more fun being in cosplay because it's like almost like an extra level in a video game you can't reach otherwise. When you're in cosplay, everyone is goes crazy taking pictures. It's not at all uncommon for people to stop you for pictures if your costume is good enough. It is also common for people to want to take pictures with you if you are from the same anime. It's a great feeling, but you can still have a blast without it. Just put on a nice anime or video game shirt, and you will get plenty of compliments. biggrin
