OKAY IM GONNA POST! READY!...))

Mae pushed some of her hair back behind her ears as she followed everyone else in the house.

"Do we have any napkins or plates to put the food on?" She asked as she began to search through the cabinets and the drawers, but she was failing to find anything. Even a small shard of a plate would do. Mae thought as she turned to the others for help.

Momo's face brightened at the sound of the word "eat" and she grabbed Vivvie's hand tightly and followed the older girl. She looked around the new place curiously.

Vivvie smiled at the little girls and set them up with some food, plus preparing some for Jin and herself.

Lola smiled at Momo, who had seem to find a friend in her stuff animal.

Momo studied Lola curiously as she picked up some food with her hand and stuck it in her mouth, along with the rest of her fingers.

You know how kids do that?))

Shin groaned as he rubbed his eyes and rolled over. His back kind of hurt, but it was pretty normal now. It would be nice if he could go out and find a mattress today. But he needed to work on the roof.

Oh well. Niku and Amaya could do it.

"Morning." He smiled at the other two.

Niku grunted in response, and gave his friend a very brief smile, before handing him a sandwich. He put another one on a plate for the girl, and left it by the jars of peanut butter and jelly. He kept his eyes down, and began eating his sandwich, still grumpy about sharing his bed with the grumpy girl.

But he decided to go to the junk yard again today, and get her her own bed. Then him and Shin could sleep together in a real bed, like a real married couple.

Not that that's why he wanted his mattress back. Of course not. Niku was just tired of sleeping on the ground.

Lola and Vivvie giggled. "No honey, take your fingers out of your mouth" Vivvie said softly.

Ombrophobia

Niku grunted in response, and gave his friend a very brief smile, before handing him a sandwich. He put another one on a plate for the girl, and left it by the jars of peanut butter and jelly. He kept his eyes down, and began eating his sandwich, still grumpy about sharing his bed with the grumpy girl.

But he decided to go to the junk yard again today, and get her her own bed. Then him and Shin could sleep together in a real bed, like a real married couple.

Not that that's why he wanted his mattress back. Of course not. Niku was just tired of sleeping on the ground.

"Well somebodies grumpy this morning..." Shin brushed his hair back as he bit into his breakfast. "So what are we doing today? I want to finish the roof as soon as possible." He looked at his best friend.

Lola and Vivvie giggled. "No honey, take your fingers out of your mouth" Vivvie said softly.

Momo understood the soft and kind voice of the older girl and slowly took her fingers away and wiped the icky wetness on her once clean dress.

She then tried experimenting with different ways of eating food. Momo stuck her face down on the food and bit it trying to tear away a piece without using her hands. When she succeeded, she smiled proudly. Momo felt accomplished and looked at Vivvie for some praise or a scolding.

Niku nodded, "I'm gonna get another mattress today, maybe find more food if I can," He sighed and finished his breakfast. Finding nothing else to do, he decided to leave then. Hopefully he'd find a new bed, and bring it here before the hottest part of the day, "Maybe when I get back I could help you with the roof?" he asked.

I might be done with it by the time it takes you to get there and back." Shin smiled playfully as he finished his food.

Niku smiled back, "Be good while I'm gone," he joked back, before leaving to go find a bed first - maybe an old furniture store had some beds? He could even get real blankets too.

Niku wandered the shambles of the old city, and looked for a store, but instead came upon an old grocery store. Would it be stealing if he took food? There weren't many people left, and if he left some left, then he was still sharing right? Right.

The strawberry blond walked into the grocery store, and picked up a cloth bag. He filled it up with peanut butter, jelly, bread, but mostly cans of fruit. It was really heavy, so he decided to use a second one. He remembered that when he went shopping with his mother, she had to go an pay.

Curiosity struck the boy, and he wondered if they'd need money later. It wouldn't hurt to have some though, right? Niku took the bags and put them under the counter, making a note to take them when he was on his way home - that way he wouldn't have to carry the around all day.

After the grocery store Niku found a Costco home store, and decided to take a mattress with pretty pink sheets. He folded them, put them in another cloth bag, and slung it over his shoulder before he began the chore of dragging it back to the place he now called home.

Once there, he left it outside, and went back to get sheets for him and Shin, and the groceries he collected before. Navy sheets and a big blue blanket were found in the Costco place, and he used them as a bag for the smaller ones with food.

Niku decided to take 40 dollars, and shoved it in his pocket, before dragging everything back.

Once home, Niku shoved the mattress inside, and dropped everything on it.

Shin smiled back even wider. Nikui sure was something...

The young boy got to work as soon as he could on the roof, hurriedly but tidily nailing boards to the roof. He was almost done by the time Niku returned.

"Hi," Niku smiled up at Shin, happy to see him, "I brought food," he informed, putting the bags next to the almost empty jars in what used to be a cupboard.

Stepping outside again, he dragged the other mattress into the room, and cleared a space fore it against a wall, under Shin's roof. Niku paused to wipe the sweat from his head, before he made the bed neatly with the sheets and old blankets, just the way he knew Shin liked it.

He piled the folded pink sheets by the girl that was still sleeping on the old mattress, and looked up at Shin from the small hole in the roof, "Come down and eat lunch!" he shouted, before preparing a cheese and baloney sandwich, as well as a can of pear halves for Shin.

"Mmm." Shin's mouth watered at the wonderful meal. It would be the best he'd had since before the explosion.

"This pear is so sweet." He said as he licked his lips.
