That is one of the problems with knowing people online. You can never be quite sure if they are who they say they are. I think that all of my friends here who know me irl can vouche for the fact that I am a 23-year-old female college student. 3nodding As to anything past that, I guess it would be a matter of opinion.

Lol, yeah it is. XD The funny part though is that I'm pretty honest about most things -- the only catch is the doubt that always resides in the mind of people (XD I find it to be a flaw in sensibility).

I believe just about everyone on Gaia unless they give me any reason not to believe them. Sure there are people who try to be tougher or cooler than they really are irl, but I think just about everyone gets on Gaia for the same reasons that I get on. Everyone just needs people to talk to; people who share common interests; who will not go blabbing everything to everyone they know. Plus, I kind of have a lack of friends in my immediate area, so it is nice to connect with other cool people on a daily basis.
My parents are the ones who are convinced that 90% of the people on the internet are malicious stalkers who try to lure young people out of their homes to be raped/murdered. xp I do my very best to make sure that they do not know about Gaia. I love them and all, but they start throwing out warnings based on stuff they've seen on TV whenever they find out that I am talking to anyone online other than the people I know irl. @_@

I usually take people at face value, but I am protective of my personal info, like everyone should. I'm in agreement with you, Chibi. Folks need to talk and I like Gaia for that. I also have one other forum I frequent that is for C.S.Lewis fans. These two places have become family to me.
I have a few RL friends I hang out with, and connect with on facebook, but I am a pretty quiet introvert, until you get me in a safe place like online where I do a little bit more talking, but on subjects I enjoy, etc.
I'm glad to be a part of this family. smile

@Sammy - I love C.S. Lewis! xd I've read The Chronicles of Narnia, but I want to read his other stuff.
And speaking of safety online, Izuna just got her account stolen. Someone phished the marketplace, so she accidentally gave away her password while trying to buy an item. Though most of the people on this site are great, I think that we all need to be cautious of those less than virtuous people.
