After exiting the doors of the box office and passing beneath an exquisite marble archway, you find yourself standing in the most beautiful room in the Durem Theatre... or what used to be. The years have not been particularly kind to the foyer, but if you look past all the dust and rot you can spot traces of its former extravagance. At the head of the room are two gigantic marble staircases which curve elegantly up toward the auditorium’s upper balcony areas. Below them are two curtained-off entrances into the theatre itself, but the once vibrant red velvet has faded and they now give off the faint scent of mildew.

Exactly two huge, golden chandeliers swing gently above you, as well as a space where a third one used to be. Shattered and twisted in all sorts of odd directions, the ostracized chandelier sits in a sad pile on top of an old, dilapidated grand piano. Shards of reflective glass rest in a gleaming circle around the chandelier’s corpse and atop the keys, causing them to glitter with a strange, morbid beauty. The other two chandeliers are looking rather haggard themselves, and their gilded exteriors have become tarnished, but that hasn’t stopped them from being lit up with hundreds of flickering white candles.

There is definitely an ambiance to this place, but you can’t quite tell if it’s magical or eerie. One thing is for sure, though: it certainly doesn’t look very festive. In fact, you can’t even spot a tree—that is, until you notice a tiny potted pine that’s placed on a table near the entrance to the library. A handful of presents wrapped in bright colors are waiting underneath it, but you doubt any of them are for the party guests. Judging by the state of the building, it seems the owner wasn’t expecting any guests at all. Regardless, the party has begun, and there is much to do.

From here, there are many paths you can follow. The foyer is the hub of the building, after all. Straight ahead you can pass through the curtained entrances to explore the theater proper, or you can choose to go up the stairs into the balcony areas. You can also head to your left to enter the library or to your right if you’d like to see the greenhouse. The choice is yours alone, but you had better make one fast… there’s much to do, and so little time!

Xikar entered the foyer slowly, his sheathed sword hanging off his red coat.

Xikar had been to this place on at least two occasions in the past; once involved the death of a women as part of a "magic act", apparently she got better. And the 2nd time involved a crotchety old man trying to kick some kids out on the streets.....and for Xik personally fighting some yetis that lived in the forest behind the Theater.

But for now everything seemed quiet, and for now empty. The ticket booth at the entrance was unoccupied and even this normally bustling Foyer was empty. He still remembered cleaning these floors a few years ago.
The site of the potted plant was a bit depressing, he remembered the large exquisite tree from a few years ago, things must have been bad.

The letter invite he received in the mail didn't give all the details but the posting board out front did. This place was in need of some help.

Roxore, entering the foyer looking around wonder why he was invited to such a odd place.

As he has never been around this building it is a new place, and he wishes to explore every room he can. In the back of his mind he wonders if there could be a bigger meaning why he was invited to this building. Thinking and wondering what he could do he notices he has to go to the bathroom and he quickly rushes off to find the nearest bathroom so he can relieve him self.

The sudden entrance and exit of what looked like a elf or elven male was a bit interesting, but nothing to e alarmed about.

At least somebody else was in the theater with Xikar.

Hearing a few pairs of footsteps echoing through the foyer summoned Melody in a heartbeat. Prancing out of the theater with a delighted grin on her face, she waved a greeting to Xikar and Roxore as the latter made a beeline for the bathroom. "Geez, is that guy gonna be okay?" Her laughter was as cheerful and light as silver bells, and underneath her scarlet curls she was all bubbles, glitter, and glee. "Anyways, welcome to the party! It seems there aren't many people here yet... hey, I like your jacket!"

Returning from the bathroom with a slight worried look on his face Roxore looks around and waves back to the others. Saying to both of them but in a toned voice to not sound worried Roxore explains "I think I saw a shadow in the bathroom but there was no one with me inside the bathroom as I could tell."
Looking around the room he was back in he was trying to make sure the building was not haunted or cursed with a slight fear of his life being at danger.
Being paranoid with everything that happen in his life he didn't want to take risks of anything happening that would be bad.

The bubbly woman's mouth was running a mile a minute but that didn't bother Xik.
"Yeah I'm not sure what with that guy, he just ran in and ran in the other direction" Xikar explained making his way over the women.
"My name is Xikar and who might you be? And what's a beautiful women like you doing here?"

Roxore looking at them talking makes a experssion on his face of a tad confusion. Mubbling to him self "When you got to go you got to go"

Melody blinked at Roxore's chilling account of the haunted bathrooms. "I have heard that some weird things happen in those bathrooms. Don't worry, though, it's probably just a trick of the light." She offered him a reassuring smile. "Anyways, thanks for coming out here despite the circumstances. I'm sure more guests will turn up soon!"

She turned to Xikar, her brown eyes going wide at his unexpected compliment. She giggled and blushed. "I'm Melody, and I'm the hostess of this little shindig here... well, sort of. The orphans planned it all, they just put me in charge."

Roxore taking her advise, hearing that others are showing he cheers up and can't wait for the other guests to show up. Looking at his watch to notice he is a tad early to the events for the evening.

"I remember the orphans. Hope they're doing well......well as well as they can be under the circumstances" he answered. Turning his attention to the elf, he laughed.
"Yeah this place as a whole bunch of secrets, ghosts and spooky shadows being the tip of the iceburg"

Roxore, hearing about the orphans he did not think much of that subject until he brought it up wondering again to him self why he is TRULY here. Roxore being the type of person who skims threw papers did not read into details wonders if he should read more into this place, or just go with the flow.

"Well, for kids with no parents to speak of that might be getting their home taken away from them, they're doing surprisingly well." Melody nodded matter-of-factly, but there was a sense of pride beaming from her face, as if the orphans were her own children. It was hard not to get attached to the little guys. "Oh! That reminds me! I need to find Lily... now, where did she run off to?"

Glancing at Roxore, she shook her head and chuckled. "Oh, come on you two, this is supposed to be a happy event! All this talk of ghosts and goblins... they don't really exist." Even she didn't seem completely convinced, though.

Roxore replying to her comment states " I guess your right might as well enjoy these past few days and not make my self look crazier then I have already done."

Xikar rolled his eyes at the disbelief in the supernatural, despite being a walking example. But this was neither the time or the place.
"So what can we do this time around? Any little games the orphans have planned?"
