A quaint inn on the Eastern edge of town, nestled up against the forest, which the inn has a great view of. There is a large round fountain in the center of the lobby, along with a guest counter on the eastern side, a fireplace with a few tables on the wester side, and stairs leading up to the dorms on the northern side. Guests are welcome to lounge about in the lobby while waiting for their meals, which are at the following times:

Breakfast: 7:30 - 9:30 am

Lunch: 12:00 - 2:00 pm

Dinner: 6:30 - 7:30 pm

The front doors of the inn close at 9:00 pm, so be sure to come back in before then, or you'll be locked out.

The bitter wind was unforgiving; even more so the higher up you got. Nestled high in the branches of a bristly pine, Willow sat precariously, daring the wind to push her from her perch. She gripped the tree branch tightly with her legs, seeing as a fall from this height could only result in much pain and blood. Yet the danger was worth it. From her spot among the many spikes and needles, Willow could see far out over Blackthorn Forest, to places she had never even dared to think of going. The edge of the forest was her limit; she knew she would forever be stuck keeping an eye over the Blackthorn Inn, which was her only remaining keepsake of the life she once knew.

Narrowing her eyes against a sudden blast of icy wind, Willow nestled deeper into the branches. The day was growing darker, and soon it would be nightfall. It was too dangerous for anyone in Blackthorn to be out at night, no matter how powerful they were. With a barely audible sigh, Willow began her careful descent to the ground below.

Cyra glanced towards the sunset before running a hand through her hair. She didn't fear the dark, actually she embraced it, but she knew that most humans had an irrational fear of it, especially in a place this eerie. Plus, in some deep part of her the forest did seem ominous. She gave a snort of laugher. A person who is one of the creatures that goes bump in the night getting creeped out by some trees and a little fog. As Cyra rounded the last bend she stopped, her eyes flashing yellow for just a second before she called off the instinct to change. Someone else was there, another person. Where? She glanced around carefully, trusting in her nose and ears more than her eyes. Then thought to look up. She spotted the girl almost instantly, although she chose to wait until she had reached the ground before saying anything, "'ello, may i ask what you were doing in the tree?"

Willow swung out of the tree and landed gracefully on both feet. She looked up in answer to a voice that she heard. Though she could not see the person she was talking to, the voice was distinctly feminine. She scanned the trees for some sign of her but found none. Willow raised her eyes to the heavily clouded sky and answered, "Well, I suppose the obvious thing to say is that I was climbing it. But that's not actually true. What I was doing was climbing down." She ended the comment with a casual smirk, but looked into the trees once more, a wave of unease overcoming her. Willow's fear was not caused by this mysterious person in the trees, but by the gathering darkness that consumed the both of them. She took a faltering step wackward and fell against the tree. "It's getting very dark. I don't know who you are, but it would be best if we both took shelter."

Without a final look back at the trees, Willow fled toward the inn that was now just another black smudge against the ever-darkening sky.

Suika lounged in the inn lobby "what sundown already?" she stated looking out the window before taking a drink from her gourd, "why does it seem like night has a total hold on this place, i mean i love the night life but this place has night but no life" she ranted

Willow closed the door gently behind her, not knowing whether the other person would follow. She looked at the clock; 8:00. It would be an hour before she would lock the front doors and bolt the windows shut. At the sound of another voice, she looked up. What was someone doing in the lobbey at this hour? She made her way to the front desk to grab her guest log anda pencil. "May I help you?" she asked politely, yet she could not keep the confusion out of her voice.

Inside the Inn, Bartheyamus could hear the rustling of trees and the smell of another not too far away. It mattered little to him, however as he sat at the corner most table, awaiting his drink. Perhaps vampires had little use for food and drink anymore but he loved performing the ritual for reasons other than blending in. Sure, he was content with his own vampirism but he was still very much in a human mindset. He had only acted as a vampire for 33 years before he took refuge in he former king's castle for 700 years. It seemed unfathomable to the average mind to put oneself in slumber for 700 years but when one is grieving, time means little.
As the dim candlelight flickered flirtatiously across his stern yet wistful visage, he wondered what destiny held for him here in this strange place. He had not been accustomed to civilization but unlike his "kin", he was not about to attack any who roamed his way. He could only hope as he dug his nails into the table that there would be no bloodshed here.

Cyra opened the door quietly, stepping inside. She didn't know why the girl had fled quiet like she did, but it had set of a fair amount of instinct, not all of it emotions she was used to. So she had done as the girl suggested and retreated to the inn. Taking one last glance at the darkening forest she shut the door and took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. Almost absently her mind sorted the scents that meant nothing to true humans. Three others. The girl from before, a second girl who smells off like she isn't human although I don't know what, and a man who is also a vampire. Unconsciously she glanced towards the other two before making her way to the front desk. Leaning against it she grinned slightly at Willow, "I wasn't quiet expecting you to run like that. Took me a minute to catch up."

Bartheyamus looked to the girl who most recently stepped in and recognzed her scent from the forest.

"Wolf...?" he mumbled questioningly to himself.

He glanced quickly over to her before setting his eyes on the cup of mead before him. Seeing his reflection, it amazed him to see what a difference the vampirism had made. His olive skin was now a smoky pale color but his hair seemed to intensify in color. He wondered what other changes would come on the horizon. As for now though, he simply closed his eyes, focusing on the chatter of the other patrons.

While awating an answer from the other patron, Willow tied a dark green apron around her waist and wandered over to the man waiting at one of the far tables. He seemed impatient for something, and at once her attention was drawn to his fingernails, which were digging into the newly-polished wood table.

Even though she was annoyed, Willow approached the man calmly and addressed him in a quiet, emotionless voice. "Excuse me, sir; those tables were just varnished a few days ago; I can understand your impatience, but I'm the only one working here right now, and the sudden number of guests is really discouraging. I'll be back with your drink in a few moments, but until then please entertain yourself some other way."

The male looked up at her curiously as he drained the last of the mead in his cup. He put away his flagon which carried it.

"I--" he stammered, feeling guilt ridden and surprised.
"My lady, I apologize. Here," he handed her thirty gold pieces
"Be that enough to cover the cost? I assure you it was not the service here I.." his voice trailed for a moment. "I suppose the past is just on my mind, please, take your time. I am in no hurry."

Willow looked down at the gold pieces that glinted in her hands; at once her temper seemed to melt away. As a shapeshifter, no matter how low ranking, she was attracted to all things shiny. She sniffed, and turned away, walking toward the guest counter. " I suppose this'll do..."

The male nodded wistfully. He wasn't about to try and speak to her any more. It seemed like no matter where he went, he caused damage to other's things. He awaited a drink, perhaps a hot meal if he was lucky. But he wasn't about to ask for a bed, besides, who would want to shelter a vampire in a place of public business? He supposed after his drink he would retire to the forest for more meditation.
