Story There was once a divine tree in the middle of the Harvest Goddess' pond. One day the tree began to weaken, the air became stagnant, and the living creatures started to leave. The Goddess believes that the power from the Harvest God, who lives high in the heavens, can be used to help the wilted plant. If the 5 bells can be sounded by Harvest Sprites then the Harvest God should appear to help out the Goddess' divine tree.
The Harvest Goddess uses the last of her power to create the little sprites, and instructs the small orange sprite, Finn, to search for someone who can help.
(Hint: The person Finn finds is you~ biggrin )
The Island The land of Castanet is split into various musical districts. The main hub of commerce is Harmonica Town, where you will find shops and residences. Your farm is located in the Clarinet District, which is connected to Kaval Meadow (which connects to the Tamtam Forest) and the Garmoni Mine District. In the Garmoni area you'll find the Goddess' Pond.

New Features heart Here's some interesting things that set this game apart from previous Harvest Moon games: arrow You can choose between two male and two female protagonists for the first time~! whee They're shown below.
arrow Both the male and female protagonists have lots of clothes and accessories to choose from in both Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter! That makes the outfit selection bigger than in HM: DS Cute and Another Wonderful Life! Fogu's List of Clothes and Accessories If you hover over the name of the outfit or accessory, you are shown what it looks like. biggrin
arrow You can have up to TWO children! heart And they're all different for every bachelor, because they take after the bachelor in looks. Also, YOU get to choose both of their personalities and make them differ from one another! The two children will also look different from one another, even if they're the same gender. heart Oh, and you get to choose what gender they are, by the way! AND you get to dress them in lots of clothes, and a WIDE selection of accessories! (And if you only want one kid, you can CHOOSE not to have a second one. And if you change your mind after saying "no" when asked, you can still have a second one later!)
arrow 10 eligible bachelors + 10 eligible bachelorettes= 20 marriage candidates. biggrin List of Bachelorettes List of Bachelors
arrow You can utilize WiiConnect 24 and send pictures and items to your friends that also have Animal Parade! You and your family can also visit them. And after you connect with a friend, they can show up at festivals and events! biggrin
arrow The circus in in town! And the ringmaster is Mayor Theodore from Mineral Town! xd
arrow You can ride your sheep and cows along with you horses and ostriches~! The circus animals also act as taxis! Each animal takes you to a different part of the continent! 3nodding
arrow While A Wonderful Life and Another Wonderful Life both had pet training, Animal Parade has more pets to train than just (two types) of dog(s), and the tricks are more interesting and different for all of the types animals. biggrin
Here's all of the available pets in Animal Parade:
arrow One of my favorite new features: A CAMERA~! <3 You can take pictures of your family, pets, or anything else you want to capture, and actually hang them up inside your home!
arrow The goddess, witch, AND god and wizard are all marriable in this game! wink
arrow You can now grow beans and olive trees, and there are more things you can make, like sugarcane and flour, to make dishes! (The cooking has become more realistic again! whee )
arrow There are more fishing spots and new types of fish to catch!
arrow There are THREE mines this time!
