Lilia slumped on her bed, sighing. Papers were scattered round her, covering what was left of her bed and spreading onto the floor. Her research. Records of all she had heard by word-of-mouth, and things she had picked up from her short-lived trip to the night class dorms. She held a pen in her plaster-covered hand, though wasn't writing. She simply let it hover above the page. The paper she had been working on read simply "Kuran", with bubbles of information concerning the family round it. She frowned as she gazed down at the page; some of the facts didn't quite fit.
"I'm never going to be able to find the information I need in the library, and the Night Class don't seem willing to tell me anything. I was outright lied to after all..." She nibbled at her lip, thinking hard. Her eyes travelled over her research, pages and pages of the stuff. It was certainly enough to prove her right in one way - there was something different about the Night students - but not enough to tell her what. Annoyance filled her.
"Logically speaking my next action should be to talk to Cross Yuuki, or Kiryuu Zero... but they tend to spend a lot of time at the Night class dorms, from what I've heard. I'm not sure they'd tell me anything even if they did know..." She heaved a heavy breath out, looking at the sketches of the Night class that littered the floor alongside her notes, all the while resisting the urge to bury her head in the soft duvet and forget about it for the night. Her eyes were tired from reading, though she felt as though she could never sleep, still mentally and otherwise physically wide awake.
She picked up a particularly prominent sketch; Hanabusa Aidou laughed at her from the page. "If anyone, he'd be the easiest to approach, with his attitude... Though not necessarily the easiest to communicate with." Aidou's smile was fairly contagious, so she smiled back at the picture. Pinning it to the wall and then leaning down to do the same with the rest of the sketches. At the foot of an especially sketchy picture of the girl calling herself Kanon Kuran - done from her memory - was the single word "Tablets". Lilia had seen them being used in the kitchens and would need to look into that. Her work wasn't going anywhere much, but she had to get a breakthrough soon, so kept pushing forward with as much cheer as she could muster.
"Tomorrow. I'll have to borrow the Night Class library again... Failing that I'll head into the town and see what little information I can get from villagers." Decided, she lay back on her bed, disregarding some of her still-scattered notes and gazing aimlessly up at the ceiling. Morning would come soon enough if she waited; the darkness was less dense than it had been when she started.
