"Dark waters conceal bright coral." - Sigurd Dasix, School President and Chairman of the Class Representatives Council (1952-1956).

The Orphanage of Elements is freedom, it is safety, it is security. This is one of the last free institutions on Earth where the gifted can home their skills without persecution or exploitation, without bureaucracies seeking to research them, sects seeking to destroy them or archaic orders seeking to use them for conflicts over dogmas and vanity. This is the last secure and democratic organization on Earth where masters of the elements, chosen by nature from a pool of those enabled by the tragedy of the loss of their biological parents, can hone their abilities and learn without disruption. The school hosts regular competitions in our arenas so all students can test the effectiveness of their powers and the elemental houses can compete in relative peace.

The entire organization is student run: graduated tutors teach newer students and a body of class representatives makes all executive decisions. Students are free, and that freedom helps them develop as powerful benders of elements to enter the outside world as independent and unoppressed.

Whichever element you have been chosen by, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, Shadow, you are to be guarded by this organization and protected so long as you work towards protecting the others. We would be outcasts if not for cooperation and the struggles we have undertaken together to prevent forces, corrupt governments, avaricious businessmen, superstitious ancient orders, and worst of all, the public, from ending our existences.

Freedom doesn't come with much of a price. The campus grounds are luxurious and fit for Kings, as the saying goes. There have been questions about how we pay for them, but that's something we shouldn't trouble the average student with. All you need to know is that the dorms are customized, creative, adapted for the element, and accommodating.
