❝May it be a Light for You in D A R K Places,

When All Other L I G H T S go Out.❞

Storyline

In the wake of ground-breaking discoveries of Pokemon mega evolution and technological phenomena bringing people and Pokemon closer together than ever, the world of Pokemon has become a virtual utopia for people and Pokemon alike. All is well, and still many up-and-coming trainers journey day and night to train and grow together with their Pokemon, some simply to grow as individuals and others with much higher ambitions.

Sadly, while the world described above is entirely accurate, for some those ambitions are less noble. A young scholar named Alexander Lucius had a vision where the line between human and Pokemon was crossed, and a team began assembling to create a way to breach the boundary and perfect the relationship between them. Calling his team "Excellus", Alexander was known to commit countless resources to technological and biological advancements that would bring man and Pokemon together like no one had ever dreamed or imagined, and even began a unique project meant to merge the two together perfectly.

His greatest technological development was the creation of a small device placed inside the arm of whomever was to recieve it. Named simply the "Sync", the device linked the senses of trainer and Pokemon alike, so that what one felt, the other would as well. Meant especially for trainers to be aware of the stress their Pokemon go through, this was ultimately the first unpopular decision Excellus had brought its name to.

Furthermore, despite public protest, Alexander had one more project in mind, and he committed his life to. Dubbing the project "Humanii", he sought to literally merge the genetic code from a human and a Pokemon, and created a subspecies named after the project. Though incredibly limited (and passing for human in all other ways), the Humanii project turned out a phenominal success, creating a species that not only exhibited enormous potential but could also speak with and understand Pokemon on their own level.

When the announcement was revealed, however, Excellus' success was met with cruel resistance and claims that the Humanii project would take humanity itself off the map. A resistance movement was formed, and Excellus' benevolent reputation plummeted to join those of so many vindictive trainer teams that came before it.

Whose side will you choose? Will you fight for the natural balance, or the change and perfection of man and Pokemon?
