all that does is delete your avi it will not delete your account, accounts can not be deleted because it will mess up the site,

You could always try setting your profile to "friends only" and then removing everyone from your friends list.

And I'm not sure what dramatic internet breakup or whatever you had happen to you, but if you don't want someone else to come to your account and to see you being active then simply don't post on it. It wouldn't matter if you log in or not if your profile is set to private because then no one would be able to see it anyway.
