Nothing on Gaia is technically your property, as stated in the ToS. It's their property and their right to do with as they please.

Now, Gaia will never, ever intentionally just take some items or an account from someone for the heck of it, but it is not Gaia's responsibility to refund your money or return your items if you lose the information to your account.

But they just did take my money. I intentionally won't help me. Therefore maikng it so I have to spend MORE money to repurchase the same items. That is what I like to call a scam. Or even just trickery. If a REAL institution did that, I could have them sued.

They didn't scam you at all. It is fully your responsibility to be able to access your own account, and failing that responsibility was on you, not on Gaia.

In addition to that, you are not required to spend any money on Gaia, you do so of your own free will, fully knowing what the ToS states (or claiming you did when you signed up and agreed to them), and therefore it can not in any sense be considered a scam.

do you know what email addresses have an account attached to it? you just don't know which user name goes to what email account?

there is a form where you can enter in an email address and then it will sent that email address the user name that is attached to it.

once you get the name you can fill in the other form that will send you the password to the account.

My problem is the other way around.

I'm pretty sure I have items I bought on the accounts I lost the Emails and passwords to.

So, by not giving me my Email account. (Which is all I need) Aren't they more or less taking my property from me? Without cause? They aren't donation letters anymore. They are items I purchased on purpose.

I fail to see how it's gaia's problem that you forgot your e-mails...if you have that many I would recommend writing them all down in the future. Keeping a text document on your desktop (IF it's a private computer) or a hand written list in your wallet or something would likely be the best thing to do in the future. I have to in some cases.

I agree with her method on this. EXCEPT, if you type your passwords on a Word document, make it PASSWORD protected as well (something that you would know/figure out even if you forget in time). That way, others that are nosy will not know either (and that you can carry it around with you on a flashdrive). Just in case you have it on a public computer and forgot to delete it, it at least be password protected to keep everyone/anyone from viewing it.

They should still have a form you can fill out like they do for Passwords.

I don't see a problem with giving out a requested Email address. I would still need that accounts password.

If you aren't the account owner, they'd be giving out personal information of the account owner to what could be a stalker or random stranger.

But I am the account owner. They can check my IP address. This hurts me more to not be able to access the account, than some crazy person I could put on ignore or have a restraining order put on.

Someone can break into your home and use your computer. Heck, your next door neighbor can share your IP address, so the IP means very little.

I believe you are the account owner but Gaia puts user privacy first and foremost. They will not give out personal information of anyone's account to anyone.
You guys aren't trying to help me. Your spamming my thread with hate. If you don't have the answer I want/need, then you aren't helping and shouldn't post.

I guess I'll just have to ask my moderator friend again and see if she can be more specific in her response. She told me there was a form I could fill out. But I couldn't find it. However, if anyone knows where the form is. THAT would be helpful. Instead of throwing blame on me.

I understand I should have written them all down (WHERE ANYONE WHO CAN READ COULD SEE THE INFORMATION) or saved it to my computer (Where the information could have been lost by computer failure or stolen via hacking) but I didn't and because of that, I require assistance by someone who can actually help, not from people who can't. I know you guys seem to be all about the rules... Well, the rules of this forum state that if you can't help me, you shouldn't post.

I was in the same boat you're in so I started saving my e-mail address for each account so it would never happen again. But like others said, there's nothing you can do. You don't have any proof that it's your account since you can't remember the e-mail or password. Maybe you can take a day and try to remember any e-mail addresses you can recall and try them all.

No one is throwing any hate at you. We're giving you rational, reasonable responses. Just because they're not the responses you wanted ("Here's the button to click to get any account's personal information." wink , doesn't mean they're hateful, or non-factual. smile

The form you're referring to is the Gaia Online Feedback Form.
Thanks I guess. I didn't mean to sound nasty. Its just frustrating that I have lost control of both My Main account and my guilds mule and have no way of getting them back.

What if they weren't forgotten? I tried a few PWs that I thought I used all the time, but they didn't work? Could they have been hacked?

I could try the Hack report right?

But what if it isn't Hacked and really is forgotten?

Don't fill out a hacking report unless you're sure you were hacked. Aside from the fact that the hundreds (if not thousands) of reports the admins receive each day are getting more and more backed up with each report, with the addition of false and repeating reports, to the point that hacking reports take almost two years to get responses, filling out a false hacking report could be considered an attempt at scamming Gaia.
Poo.

I don't remember ever changing my main's PW.
