It's not made to be used with hair.
Just because it "works" doesn't mean it's a smart idea.

You realize that there are some chemicals in one of these markers that probably shouldn't be soaked up by your skin/scalp?
It could be toxic.
And, should I be correct, hair damage WILL be the least of your worries.
Don't be a cheap a**. Buy some friggin hair colour.
First of all, it never touched my scalp at all. And I did buy hair colour, it didn't work.

Well, it sounds like you're going to do it no matter what anyone says. So go for it.
If you didn't want to hear people tell you the right way to do things, don't ask for advice.
I can guarantee that this either isn't going to work, or you'll end up ******** it, or something else, up. It's going to run and stain clothes, it's going to stain your skin, or it's going to ruin something else.
Is there some reason you're so adverse to doing this the right way?
I didn't ask for advice on whether to do it or not, I asked for advice on how to make it work best. Hair dye stains clothes and skin too. And now that I've done it, I can honestly say it was successful.
