This petition was created before the braid hairstyles were available. Since it has been apparently successful, there is no reason to sign it anymore. We appreciate everyone's support.

Unfortunately, do to a strange glitch in the forums on any thread predating the Easter event, I am unable to update the first page, have this thread moved, or have this thread locked. I have put in a request with the moderators for when the glitch is finally fixed to have this thread locked and moved over to Memorable threads.

However, until that happens, I'm asking everyone to please refrain from bumping or posting anything in here until that happens to avoid trouble so it doesn't get deleted.

I am looking for help with screening of banner sizes. My current work schedule does not allow for a lot of computer time lately. Until I am able to find a better job with a steadier schedule, I will not be able to do that on my own. If anyone is interested in helping out with going through a few of the banners below (including my own) and letting me know how many pixels (height x width) they are and what the file sizes are, I'd appreciate it. You can either post that here or PM me about it.

Please make sure any signature pics and/or text are also reasonable in size. The first page of this thread is large enough as it is. I took out the images for the banners because of load times. I will do the same and turn all signature images into links with your usernames if I have to. We can't have large petition signatures.

Avatar rewrite continues...

Pretty much just finished updating all of the older clothing items and now moving onto the latest items from the recent item updates. Once all of that is done, have to figure out how to make all of the "special" items such as the sashes and the more unique items work with the new layering system.

Oh and the hairs... need to be redone. One problem we've had with the old hairstyles is that the process we use to "mask" out the hair when you wear certain hats adhere to an older masking system that was dependant on a specific set of hairstyles. Basically, the new process will be a more universal approach that will work with any new hairstyle we add and it'll even fix the "knock off the back of my hair" glitch when wearing hats. So, what this means is more reworking of older items to fit the new system. crying

According to VO's journal, we can expect to have our long hair back once Gaia goes beta. biggrin

While the layering issue with the hair was fixed (and now people are complaining that they don't like the hair down... figures...), no new hairstyles with braids were released. crying So, looks like we're going to have to keep trying!
