Wrap it in toilet paper, and throw it in the garbage.

He's a big boy; he should be able to handle it. If he can't, then tell him he probably shouldn't get a girlfriend any time soon.

I've just spent four nights at a guyfriend's house, with none of his female family there.

It seriously doesn't matter. Pads, wrap up in their wrapper and put in the bin. Tampons, bin the wrappers, flush the tampon itself.

I have pretty much spent four days discussing my incredibly annoying period with my friend who was also staying at his with me. Poor boy, he got stuck with period talk from us a lot.

But seriously, it's no biggie. It's not like guys go through the bins or anything when emptying them or whatever.

Sparkly Gekko

Do what you would normally do. If you use pads, fold them up inside the replacement's wrapper, wrap in toilet roll and throw the little bundle in the bin. Same with the tampons; put it in the replacement's wrapper, wrap in toilet roll, and throw in the bin. If there isn't a bin in the bathroom, take it downstairs and throw it in any kind of bin you can find, preferably with a lid, or take it outside to one of the bins there.

It's nothing to be embarrassed about. Just because he's male doesn't mean he's stupid -- all girls go through this. He won't even notice, you're just throwing out a bundle in the bin. The women in his family will have to do it too.

I the trash. Wrapped in toilet paper. Like you would at your house.
As long as there is a bathroom trashcan, you're fine.
Just wrap your dirty deed up in toilet paper and throw it away.

Wheezing Ladykiller

The only people's houses that I visit are usually other women's, one with four son's and I use their bathroom. xD I just toss it in the bathroom trash, and they don't give a s**t.

If I'm at a guy's house, it's usually just one friend and I discovered that he didn't even bother to have a trash can in the bathroom. So I had to throw the tampon applicator in the kitchen trash as he looked over at me, "What's that?"

You can always wrap it up in some toilet paper too. I do that with pads even at my own house. The whole thing, it's really no big deal though.
Wrap the pad in toilet paper and put it in the garbage. The end. Even though they're grossed out by it guys are aware that a period is part of a woman's life and won't go poking around in your feminine hygiene disposals.

It's safe to flush a tampon?

If you know for a fact that her house is more than 10 years old, don't flush a tampon.

For both pads and tampons(if house is old): just wrap it up in toilet paper and throw it away.

I only say that because there's a chance of you clogging the toilet by flushing it. Older house's pipes aren't that great.

Get some feminine wipes if you worry about smell, but in all honesty your friend probably won't care too much. Just wrap the pad in toilet paper and toss it in the garbage, and if it is a tampon either roll it in toilet paper and toss it or flush it.

He probably won't mind a wrapper, applicator, or pad tossed in there as long as it is covered (the pad anyone). What I do is use the tampon and place the applicator in the wrapper and toss it..

Best advice. He wouldn't obviously care if he lives with a mother and/or sisters who go through the same monthly cycle.
wrap it up in toilet paper and tuck it at the bottom of the trashcan.

Do not flush the tampon.
Can't repeat that enough times.
If you think him noticing a wad of toilet paper in the trashcan is embarrassing, imagine him dealing with the clogged pipes that could result from trying to flush it later.
As another user mentioned, it's a bigger risk in older buildings, but there's a reason that ANYWHERE you go in public will have a bin in the ladies' stalls.
It's never a great idea.

Really, it's not as big a deal as you're making it out to be, and IF he notices, he'll probably just shrug it off- guys don't make it past middle school without being aware of how the female body works, it's not something you can help, and if anyone makes a big deal out of it, they're the stupid one.
Just put it in a wrapper or toilet paper in the trash can. Easy enough.

Yea, i understand.
I wasn't going to flush it anyway.
I've made my peace with this issue now.

Thank you!

If he has a mom, I'm sure he's used to seeing them in the trash can. If it's a pad, wrap it in the plastic wrapper of the new pad you're about to use, then fold it up in toilet paper, and then throw it away.
