Maybe Hagrid's mom took the polyjuice potion... It said it didn't work on non-humans as the thing to turn into.. But maybe it could turn something non-human human?

Or perhaps there is a potion to turn someone into a giant... Or a giant human, for a short time.

And GnosticGoddes, even if it was consensual, I don't think she would have been motherly, one she was one of the most feared Giants in Europe, and two I do believe in the second book when Hagrid is talking of his parents he said his mother was "Not the motherly type"

But what if..maybe she was also a half giant and just led to believe that she was a giant? Like it was said before..Rita could have been lying..That would explain how Hagrid is still pretty big just not a complete giant.. then as for Hagrid's Bro.. maybe she had another kid with a half giant..but this kid was deformed..thus becoming a complete Giant? lol idk...

It would make more sense..and definitely would make it less disturbing if Hagrid had a human father and a half giant as a mother..though..then it would be more disturbing if his brother had a half giant for a mother and a complete giant father............
