Actually, it usually doesn't. It's utterly s**t software. There are free anti-virus programs out there which usually do a better job. Hence, that's the issue you probably have... It think the patches are viruses but it's just easily mislead. Likewise, you're mislead by thinking that it's decent enough to use.

If it is thinking an official patch is a virus, then your anti-virus software is obviously complete crap.

If you're only scanning with one piece of software and it claims not to have found anything, that doesn't mean there are no viruses, it means it hasn't found them if there were viruses.

It's incredibly simple logic. There may be viruses on your computer but if it says 'no viruses detected' that is not the same as 'no viruses present'.

norton scans you whole computer when you do a virus check not 1 program and how would you know you said its a peice of crap so you must not use it then so how about use it then see what its about you arse

It's still the same thing doing the virus check... Made by the same people... Looking for the same things... With the same updates. But hey, it's probably a stretch too far to make you come to reason if you thought that game and its patches were viruses in the first place.

my uncle is a expert about computers he makes them sells them he even puts virus protections on them he worked over 50 years making and reparing computers he tells me norton is save and how would you know you probaly dont use it

anyone have any that they may send me to ??

The only two mmo Ive seen that are the closest to zMOG is DOFUS and the up-coming WAKFU.
DOFUS is pretty good and WAKFU will enter beta next year. Im excited for WAKFU, mostly due to the fact that the devs are working with square. Both have a FFTA feel/look to them.
