Create an Original Character for the NiGHTS series of games! (OCs Only! No Cosplay!)

Look ma I did it! First theme! I hope this doesn't disturb the OC challenge too much

Hello if you're here then you might be wondering the heck is NiGHTS is or what I'm hoping to see this theme!

NiGHTS is a series of games from Sega staring NiGHTS! A colorful nightmaren, or as some people would call them a dream jester. It's a fantastical and whimsical game that takes place in the world of dreams. There are two main games: NiGHTS into Dreams (Saturn) and NiGHTS Journey of Dreams (Wii)

Originally I was just going to limit this to Nightmarens (creatures like NiGHTS, Reala, Jackle, Puffy, so on) but I thought that it might be easier to open this any fitting oc.

Visitors/Humans - These are the children who visit the Night Dimension (dream world!) and are able to communicate and fly with NiGHTS. (Examples: Claris and Elliot, Helen and Will)

Nightmaren - creatures that are invading Nightopia, think of them as like nightmares come to life, but they're a bit more whimsical in design compared to what you might think a nightmare looks like. While most are villains, NiGHTS is one as well and they're much more of a free spirit and helps the children stop the rest. (Examples: NiGHTS, Reala, Jackle,Puffy, Queen Bella, there's a lot!) (there's also a lot of fanmarens to help give ideas, they generally take the shape of the first level nightmarens (those being NiGHTS and Reala): i myself have one if i may toot my own horn: their name is Dusti!)

Nightopians: These little creatures are the inhabitants of Nightopia, and they're pretty similar to chao! (example) (im not too sure how an oc would be pulled off but I figured I'd might as well include them!)

Theme: Cult Party Kei

Description: It's time to bring back this Japanese fashion! Show off a lovely Cult Party Kei outfit!

Me again hello! This has been a theme I've been wanting to suggest since the Fairy Kei theme! (which isn't mine but I adored it)

Cult Party Kei is a Japanese fashion that is related to styles such as Mori Kei/Mori Girl and Dolly Kei. It was started by a store called Cult Party, later to be known as The Virgin Mary.

The style is often built around nightwear (nightgowns) and other loose flowing clothing.
(it's very layered!) Pastels, white, and accents such as bright red are common key colors! However Dark Cult Party Kei also exists! Which uses darker colors of course~!

Motifs of outfits include things like angels, crosses (various religious imagery!), vintage toys and what not such as teddy bears, but more recent things such as iconic 80s/90s characters can be added as well!

It's a very dreamy look! (and i wish it wasn't dying out ;; ah fashion ever changing)

So the title is referencing HP when Hermione turns into a cat instead of Millicent. I thought it be cool to turn OC into animal like creatures and vice-versa, because I didn't want to exclude the 3 OC's that I know other people already entered regularly which is why I added the vice-versa. I'm fully expecting to see more anthropomorphic then deanthropomorphized but who knows maybe runway will surprise us. (I would like too see more than just ears and tails slap on if making an animal, but I know gaia has very limited items, so its okay and I wouldn't considered it totally off theme if its in between the two. Otherwise about 80% of the theme will be cats and 4 humans, heck even my referenc photos i did (because I already mess up what I wanted to do and put it in another theme) are cats rofl )

Plus if you turn into an animal or human using the paws based that's fine too. (I know for the OC i was going to entry I don't have/know if there even items for on the paws based for it to work. I don't know if these links will work but here is one that I did as a cat first then deanthropomorphized into looking like a human when the fantastic beasts item came out

Name: Broadway is Dark Tonight

The theme is pretty self explanatory, the title came from the fact that Broadway will be shut down due to the pandemic until AT LEAST next summer, as far as we know. My sister works different shows, she's unemployed until that time, so I did this theme to cheer her up!

FAQ: I think its pretty self explanatory, do a Virgil Finaly inspired look in monochrome (Monochrome referencing the color scheme NOT "one color" as some previous runway confusion has been based on. so black and white yall. NOT ivory NOT offblack NOT offchrome or anything else.
Can be OC in the style or "cosplay" of a work.

He has been called "part of the pulp magazine history ... one of the foremost contributors of original and imaginative art work for the most memorable science fiction and fantasy publications of our time."[2]]While he worked in a range of media, from gouache to oils, Finlay specialized in, and became famous for, detailed pen-and-ink drawings accomplished with abundant stippling, cross-hatching, and scratchboard techniques. Okay, let me start out by pointing it says Runway Host Club, so it should basically be whatever you imagine Runway's Host Club would look like. This is NOT an Ouran High School Host Club theme beyond the host club idea and the reference title.

Theme: The Wayhaven Chronicles

The Wayhaven Chronicles is an interactive novel!!

"The Wayhaven Chronicles is an interactive fantasy-romance novel by Mishka Jenkins, where your choices control the story. Play as the lead detective to the small town of Wayhaven, a sleepy, seaside community that is the sudden focus of supernatural activity." [x]

For this theme you can make your own detective who fits into this universe or you can cosplay as one of the characters!! The romance-able characters gender is determined by the player, so Adam & Ava are the same character but it depends on your choices! Both do not exist in the same playthrough.

General Description of World:
Wayhaven is a town in which the MC, the Detective, has just gotten a promotion as the town's detective. Their father previously was a detective, before he died. ): Their mother works at an agency that deals with the supernatural which love Wayhaven! The Detective works with this agency to keep the town safe, primarily through their work with Unit Bravo!! Who are vampires, but please keep in mind their appearance by all means is humany. Looks are generally casual, nothing crazy.

I'm going to start off by saying although this theme is fairly self-explanatory, I would go over it. Although I've never seen 'Honey, I've shrunk the kids' or whatever it's called, I seem to vaguely remember a Poptropica island where your character was shrunk.

But my main inspiration is fairies - oversized things can be in any form. Don't feel restricted to easy things like fairy aesthetic, try and be creative! I'll also include some inspirational images that will hopefully get your blood flowing - if you have any questions (although it is fairly self-explanatory) don't hesitate to shoot me a message!
