Dark Souls (video game)
(The quote in the item is almost a direct quote from Solaire the Sun Knight. He worships the sun and is finding his own sun. The sword item is the bonfires you usually sit at, white the fire above you is the theme the game has. Fire is in everything. That and you are accursed with the dark sign. The hood could very well be for the pyromancer, and the lantern.. well, it is Dark Souls.)

(< just informing you that you're correct on this one. it's a Meylinx- a cat that likes to swipe items off of your character and generally just be annoying. And the quote is when Chacha [the Shakalaka] is wearing the meat mask/or BBQ mask, and he says things about food, IE walking steaks.)
(I never saw or fought it myself... But I think this could be in reference to the oh-so-popular Kirin armor and the Kirin itself. I think it was in the very first Monster Hunter- and an Online monster only- which is why I never was able to fight it.)
(Companion item to the one above. The kirin would use lightning as an attack. This olne could be debatable whether it was a Monster Hunter trubute item, or just one to continue the item above.)
(This is a play on the Rathalos and his items. A great sword was usually the signature weapon of the game, and the Rathalos has been in every installment of the Monster Hunter franchise.)
(IT may be a stretch on my part, but the whole mini-event where dragons came and attacked... They could all be feasibly put for Monster Hunter, as you got to wear pieces of the slain dragons. Armor, weapons, and theme.)

Firefly (TV series)
(This is Mal's coat! Or close to. In the item, there is a bight orange beanie, and that's a reference to Jayne's knitted hat, which his mother made and sent him. The pants, coat and gun, would all be close to Mal's wear, as the hat was something they added. Or very well close to Patience's hat in the first episode. It's a great series!)
(I just found this item looking for the one above- Mal fought in the battle for Serenity, and they were in a trench. That and, he is a brown coat- so this might be a reference as well.)


World of Warcraft (MMORPG/ game)
(I'm not entirely positive, since I've never played WoW myself... But I think this could be a reference to one of the many Raiding areas they have. I know they had whelplings, which were baby dragons. So... it's a stretch on my part. We need someone who's played and knows the terms for the item description to be sure.)

And The Mana Series! (Video game [Legend of Mana, Sword of Mana, Secret of Mana, ect...])
(It's a housing item, but very much so a reference to the Mana series. in the game world, the MAna tree is almost like Mother Gaia, and sustains life and magic on the world.)
(It's a small reference- but not a great one in my books. Mana, again is the cource of everything, and is very old. It's rather nature themed, so I think that's fitting. And the ears/ear covers look like something from one of the games- can't recall)

Phantasy Star Online/Universe (video games)
(This one is based off of Phantasy Star Universe. Off of Ethan Waber's clothes. He's such a dweeb. Buuut, it has the plasma swords and his shirt. That and the title itself has Guardian in it, which were the group used to protect the colonies, than Ethan joined.)
(This one is based off of the MAGs in Phantasy Star Online. The mags could eat items you gave them, and then transform and grow based on what items you gave it. They would follow you- since they're equipable.)

Black Rock Shooter (anime)
(It looks like a miltiple reference item. They have the scythe, horns, and skull in much of a reference do Death Master, the green based scythe weilding character, who is a mirror of the main characters friend.)

Its a SEGA game reference. I don't know which one to be exact. I never played it. >.>;
