I was discussing the soulbinding of the sashes in another thread and I think that the best bet would be to unsoulbind them.

I think it's more important that users be able to get the sash(es) they want for various reasons.

G-pin was 04 and 05 I believe. There were aniti-gambino and anti-von helson signs too, that were roughly in the same time period as the balloons.

So what? It's for those out there who deserve to sport a certain sash because they're original account got stolen, banned, or lost their password. So users who weren't around then could be able to sport an '03 sash when they didn't join that year, so what.

There's a good chance that '03 sashes would be too expensive anyway.

On the sashes, I view them as Gaia's way of saying that joindate DOESN'T matter. No matter when you originally joined, or when you were hacked/banned and had to make a new accy, you're still a Gaian. That's what I think the sashes signify. A way to stop joindate elitism that, sadly, like Gaia's attempts to fix the economy, has resulted in the opposite effect.

On the thread... nice thread! How about having MP links for each item here? Also, I think it was Coco and Kiki slippers for '08.
