idk if anyone already said this but if you want to do anything with the .profile_panel replace the profile with details so it would be .details_panel.

Hey everyone. I need some help. No matter what kinda code I try, I can't seem to get a black background and also use a picture. Is it that I can't use both? When I try to make the size of the picture I want to use bigger to cover the background, it actually makes the picture harder to see. I dunno how to get this to work. I'm using the picture I want on my profile now.

Did that make sense? Lol.

This should work, just change the ## with the height you want.
id_custom_6677{overflow: scroll; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: auto; height: ##px;}

OK, I've tried going through every post - but after awhile it gets confusing (I went through over 20 pages worth).

Simply put - I tried using the codes on the first page - I've been a member for less than a month - so prob have the newest version of the profile. I've already started with a customer CSS page - and the basics seem to work. But for some reason I can't get the individual backgrounds for the boxes to work. ie: wishlist, comments, friends, etc...

I have pictures already stored online that I am trying to use - but it won't work - please advise.

What I need is the basic code for 1 section & then the naming of the other sections - I can figure out the rest from there.

As far as I know, there is nothing against setting both a color and an image to the background at the same time. Don't forget to use a semicolon to separate your settings. There is also a combined syntax for setting all of the background settings at once:

background: background-color background-image background-repeat background-attachment background-position

So, for example:

background: black url("chess.png" ) no-repeat scroll top center;

Also, for everybody else in the thread, the W3C has the full specifications for CSS 2.1 (located on their dedicated CSS page), and their web site has lots of good information for web designers of all levels. One of the most important links there is the list of all CSS properties (I use it all the time):

http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS21/propidx.html

Click on the name of whatever property you are trying to use, and you will be taken to a section detailing its use.

Happy Coding!
