        i like to use the blueberry smoothie potion skin, or the zombae skin, and i had to change to a human skintone just so i could use arm mods that i wanted to use. u__u;
even when they add fantasy skintones when they do arm mods or leg mods, they don't add the smoothie potion skins or the skins from dolls or other items like the zombae skin. crying

Rainbow Succubus

Yes... Im kind of lucky, my tone is close to the fantasy skin tones (vamp/grombie) because I use the vamp light potion from halloween a few years back.

I REALLY wish Gaia would make a RIG with arm and leg sets in body dye and skin mod colours, ones like galaxy, starry, rainbow, etc etc...

Spacey Strawberry

Agreeing on the kind of lucky sentiment. Having white dye skin feels like being a first-class citizen compared to some of the other issues I've read in this thread so far.

Also agreeing on the RIG. I'd love to see a hot springs item I could actually use, for example.

User ImageI exclusively use V-day 2k9 skin as my base since I find the regular base to be 'flat'. Very rarely can I get away with using the darkest human skin option since it's really obvious in the shoulder area where the two skin tones meet, as demonstrated ->

Sometimes it works, often it doesn't. I would try out other skins and get a whole new layer of respect for those who use multi-coloured ones because oh wow is it tricky using them with current items that encourage limb mods.

I understand you perfectly, I've been a grombie since a lot of time, but only recently we got options with legs and arms mods, at the begining I used to use the lightest default tone, but looked weird most of the time even if I try to use some items to cover the joints so you wouldn't notice as easily it wasn't the same tone. Then they started doing grombie mods, but were really strange looking like the swamplands items or weren't exactly the same tone like the crystal witch items or were extremely expensive or rare.. grombie arms set-... but now there are a lot of options for the grombies and more affordable.
So just have patient, if people start demaning those skins they should have to do them I guess. smile

Ya know. ya' think they'd at least add white an' black to the "unusual" skin tone line up.

On some of the older items, they actually are there. The arm mod I'm wearing, for example, has white as one of the options, but no black. The Muraena Ribbons line has black, but no white. Both of them have unused arm poses available.

Alien Invader

been using the 2k11 light vampire skin 5ever
so all those fleshy mods are not for me !!!!
i love one's that use the skin you have like the Wish Upon A Fallen Star yukata pose

Seasonal Phantom

Lessee...

The first LQI I ever got while it was in the shop was Wasteland Scout because prior to that I always used Base C and that's just a nice blushy version of Base C. I am a blush fiend. It's close enough for me to use with base C arm mods to be honest, as long as there a sleeve or something. So I still use that when I make an avatar with something I really want to wear that looks bad on Cicero.

I started using Cicero all the time when it started being included in some fantasy mods because... that was the first time I'd ever seen it actually. I really like the duller look of it. The fact that it's included in most newer stuff is a big factor for me too. I'd say Cicero compatibility for the poses I like makes-or-breaks an item for me about 70% of the time. Usually this is a problem with the faces being made only for light skin and not bare skin sections, though.

Aside: I know why it's lumped in with fantasy skins but I wish it wasn't, there's nothing fantasy or inhuman about it.

I also really like the Halloween 2k12 Dark Vampire Skin for pretty much the same reason as Cicero, plus it's lighter so it would open up more face mods. I haven't taken the plunge yet, though, because it's a spendy potion (I do have the stickers but they're a limited resource) and I always worry I'll want to change my base's gender or something.

PS: Please make more of the cutout mods have different outline colors like the Cozy Chick sweater.

At this point I'm used to it.
Although I'd definitely want to see more skin compatibility.

I like the Alruna skin. But a lot of the body mods have an option for the purple dark elf instead. It doesn't quite match. It's close enough if the mod isn't adjacent with bare skin on your body. Like an arm being placed on a bare shoulder. But it doesn't blend well that way. And I have this issue with colors not matching that drives me up a wall. I've spent billions on something I'll likely use once just because it matches better than something else. gonk

I'd like to see more Alruna colored mods. Then I'd use it more. I have that nice monochrome Alruna too. I can't remember if it's called that. But I like it better than white body dye.

Salty Phantom

Paw bases have an insane amount of fur colors
we usually get stuck with a default black/white when it comes to certain mods emo

I use the white body dye, which thankfully has a match for many of my most favorite items. If it doesn't come out at first, it usually does in a recolor I can wait for. For the few arm or leg poses that I like enough, I don't mind switching to a normal skin tone for a bit, I change my avi a lot anyways.

Even though I use the Human C skin-tone the majority of the time, I have an avatar-turned-OC which uses the fuchsia/purple skin from Wasteland Drifter.

There's only a couple of items I've found that works with that skin, and the rest of the time I have to find mods that are partially transparent, like items with gloves, etc.
A good example is Extraterrestrial Waffles, with the jacket/mod where the hands are over the chest.

I'm not holding my breath for bare skin mods with that skin though. I feel like I'd have better luck getting a ticket and recoloring an item.
