Gaia's Signature and you

People who put their photo in their signature have an immensely powerful aura that I honestly find mildly intimidating. Like that's uh, brave.
Anyway I'll probably keep my current one for as long as possible, given it's status as a blessing from the Game Master himself.
I think I used to have quest trackers, but I never updated them so...

signatures are like the only way i remember people these days. especially if ya person that changes ya name or avi a lot.

my sig probably hasn't changed in 2-3 years at this point, though i do change up my james may pic from time to time. otherwise it's forever the mountain goat lyric an' a link to my tix tracker.

I love your signature everytime. James May always brighten my day! I love Jeremy and Hammond too, though! My husband got me into that show and I'm so sad with how it went down. They are doing that other one still, right(I think he was watching some of it but I didn't pay much attention at the time lol)???

I used to keep some art and relevant links to shops and/or quests in mine years ago.

Now I just have a simple text quote because large signatures bother me.

I haven’t changed my Signature in a while due to size restrictions on 512 character etc.
I used to change it like different pic to guilds I belonged to etc and I liked seeing others over time but felt hard to want to change my own signature over time

I used to have avatar art in my signature. I remember one time I made a sig and didn't realized it was a teeny bit over the max size. It was like 5 or 10 pixels over the limit, so I got "in trouble" and I was told to take it down.

I miss sig image maps It was the perfect way to fit everything you wanted into the restricted size of the signature box.
All the guides and links are dead now.

I used to have a rando-sig back in 2005 (yay logs that I can reference so I have the correct dates) that had an oversized image and an old admin (or maybe he was still a mod at the time, can't remember) by the name of WhiteJoker disabled. He was a friend of mine but also super scary so I thought I was in so much trouble. This was back in the day where we didn't have a fine set up to re-enable your signature, so you had to fix your sig, then contact a mod and have them enable it.

The only other memorable sig was when Last.FM would have an active list of what you were listening to, but then they got rid of it and I didn't change my signature for the longest time. I actually changed it just a couple weeks back to what it is now.

My sig has contained my aquarium for Booty Grab and a link to my thread in the Aquarium forum for about three years or so now, that much hasn't changed much. Usually the text above both will change once in a while, often to things that I want/am questing or to something random.

I do admire some other sig's, especially if they have art in them or something sparkly [I'm always distracted by sparkly stuff]. I typically don't have a big issue with them, even if I don't agree with whatever statement one might make so long as it's not overly offensive or anything.

I miss the old signatures a lot. D: I might have had some crazy ones but I can't remember(I've been a member since 2004 xD ) I still like to mess around with the Gaia signature thing where it displays your avi and other stuff!

I sometimes change mine when I'm bored with it and sometimes that seems to be often. :/

man I used to really admire sig maps because i had no idea how to make them?? They were really cool.

Nowadays I don't really look that much at people's siggys, though I remember not too long ago when a lot of people had photobucket bandwidth errors in their siggys lol. I never liked using PB so good riddance.

Back in the day, my siggy used to be tektek quest progress.
Or, if anyone remembers, there was a popular pet adoption shop that sold Knuffels. I had those in my sig for a while too. I haven't changed my current siggy recently, but I used to rotate it out with different art of my OCs. Since I haven't done much art hunting lately, there's not been much of a reason for me to change the pic.

For the longest time I put art I got of some of my avies, or a thank you message if I ever got gifted by an anon.
Now I just announce my current obsession biggrin

◄ {I've had a lot of things in my signature over the years.

Back then it was probably a Tektek questbar, a 'I collect junk' thing, a picture of a anime character, Aquarium link, Dragcave dragons (or other adoptables) and other things that I can't remember.

It was a challenge to cram everything into it. I wanted a image map for a while, but they were too complicated for me, and I didn't have the gold back then to get one.

I tried to have .gifs in my signature, but there was always one particular mod that disabled it, so I gave up on that. My random signature got disabled too. After the fifth time, I gave up on ever having a larger signature.

I had a link to a charity for a while, but it's more or less died off, so I removed it.

I've never bothered too much with avi art. Sure, I've had some made, but I don't like it when my avi doesn't match, and I lost most of them with the PB apocalypse.

Nowadays, I like my teeny Pusheen and the quote I had on my profile for years before moving it. I don't like having the 'I can be afk' text in there, I'd rather have something else, but my life is too hectic to leave it out and not everyone checks profiles. Speaking of which, my profile has kinda followed the same pattern. It used to be a lot more busy and larger, but I've simplified as I've gotten older and my interests changed.} ►

@topic: I don't think I ever had a massive crazy signature or anything.. though I did have one with an image randomizer that had a LOT of images. I never had an image map either but I always envied people who did.. those were neat.
I mainly use my signature to display art! And I love seeing art / art links in other peoples signatures. That's one of my favorite things about this site! I'm honestly blown away by the idea that there are people who have signatures turned off.

honestly i actually block a lot of other users' sig images depending on how eye hurty it is to look at, bless u adblock/ublock
