Well, these aren't all facts. Sometimes a Cherub is simply a heavenly creature, which doesn't necessarily make it an angel; depending on who you talk to. And I have heard of the other two, but they aren't the only ones. I've even heard of angels with a thousand wings before. The oddest part of this argument is that these examples seem to be putting variations, a scientific idea, on Angels, a religious concept. Good show old boy!

The First Seraphor

All this 'Angels don't have Horns' business is ridiculous, and beginning to piss me off quite frankly.

1. Angels Have Horns.

Believe it or not, this is an Angel:


It's a Cherub, one of the many odd ranks of Angels.
They have many wings and four heads. The fourth is the head of an Ox.
Other high ranks of Angels include Thrones and Seraphim.


Thrones are Gods bodyguards. They're a wheel within a wheel, and have eyes on the outer rim. Nothing gets past them, they're top grade protectobots.
The Seraphim are Gods personal a**-kissers. They have six wings, and are occasionally mentioned with four heads just like the Cherubim. They follow God around for all eternity praising him.

The common Angels you know are merely messengers.
They're the equivalent of Hermes amongst the myriad of other Greek Gods.
You can't just ignore Hera, Apollo, Athena, Ares, Aphrodite, Artemis, Hades, Poseidon, Demeter and Hestia, can claim you know about Greek Mythology.
You can't say there was never a God of the oceans that wielded a trident.
So to claim Angels don't have horns is ignoring the vast majority of Angels.

So as you can see, Angels Have Horns.


2. Angels on Gaia.

Gaia is it's own little universe. It has it's own made up gods, and can sometimes incorporate gods from real mythologies.
Gaia doesn't have to stick to the rules. Which is already apparent by the guitars, whoever heard of Angels and Demons in rock bands?

So even if Angels didn't have horns (which they do) Gaia could make Angelic Horns, because they don't have to stick to the rules.



3. What would Angelic Horns be?

If you're still against the idea, you're probably picturing Angelic Horns as Golden, or Angelic-Blue variations of the Horns of the Demon.

Why should that be the case? Gaia can and has produced items with many positions, not all faithful to their original position.
Angelic Horns could consist of typical Ram/Ox horns that Angels have, they could be Unicorn horns, they could even have a positions that functions as the Musical Instrument.

I like this idea. It does make sense to have Angelic Horns. You have made a very nice point.

Small horns, Long horns, Unihorn and Ram-like horns.


And for those who still don't like the idea of Angelic Horns, there could be a position as a musical-type horn.

If you want the type of horn an angel has, give out trumpets or ram horns for heraldry purposes. Gaia is not working off of the textual roots of Angels, they're much more interested in the common iconography we have today.

I don't know why this thread got necro'd, but I still think Angelic horns on Gaia would be silly. Sure, all that stuff about different classes of angels is true, but this is just a web site. We don't go digging all that deep into things that are not common knowledge. There is a common conception of what an angel is, and it does not include horns.

On the other hand, I guess Gaia needs not be bound by convention in any way. We do have a dark halo, which is a contradiction in terms as well. I don't know why, but I still have a harder time accepting angelic horns.
