On one hand, I love the recolors in the 12 days. On the other, I'm SO tired of items being recolors year after year. I know artists/recolorists are busy, specially since they're doing this 25 days thing and stuff, on top of the whatever-amount of days for Halloween. But... I'm just kind of... ya'll could have done a bunch of recolors and put em in the golden/plat catch and maybe we could have a little treat of new items? ....course this post is gonna make me look like an a** if the caroling items are new, lol!

Okay, well, I'm not surprised its recolors of last years. I did really like the staircase so at least I'm looking forward to that. That being said it feels pretty lazy. Considering the insane amount of paid content they push daily, every two hours, you would think theyd throw us a bone and maybe come up with something new. For the thousands of items they want us to pay for they couldnt come up with 12 new items for free? Lol. If thats not Gaia in a nutshell idk what is. Oh well. Im still gonna love that staircase so I'm just gonna be thankful for that.

I'm sorry you feel that way. December is quite a busy month with 12 Days, Caroling, and Event items and unfortunately we have to make compromises. This year we opted to go for new items for Event Rewards and recolors for 12 Days and Caroling items.

Is there a reason the caroling event gifts aren’t available?

Peppymint isn't really a color scheme I care for and these recolors prove why

but I'm sure there will be some hella cute winter avis that come out of it that I can admire from a distance.

Sigh, more recolors. The caroling items and the 12 days. I was hoping that at least the caroling items would be new.

I don't mind the color choices for the 12 days of xmas items so far. Will be skipping the caroling side though, since I'm not a fan of Peppymint. Wonder if we'll get items that are beyond "just recolors" for the the main event (if we get any).

I hope the minigame is simple enough. Something about Halloween's minigame this year didn't mesh well with me. Probably because I am not familiar with the game's mechanics. At least xmas' minigame's scores were accumulative so we can get complete all prizes with just a bit of time and effort.

Peppymint? Like why? I guess this is some artist’s pet scheme that is going on a lot of stuff even though there’s very little user demand for it?

(only 42 of the Peppymint LQR released two days ago have sold. Barely any items in this scheme crack 100k plat, most being far less ABP)

Like I am all for some variety when it comes to holiday schemes, but there’s certain colours and colour combinations which are preferable to the majority. Festive (either the actual scheme) or other red/green schemes, anything genetically wintry like Pure, Catharsis, Arctic, hell even Sprinkles would have been fine. Then stuff that’s more gold or silver with blue or red in combination with either — Veras(?) or Sandman for example would have worked

(and yes, even if it was a scheme I adore like Alluring or Monarch, I would find these choices bizarre to put on free items that *should* have more widespread appeal as winter holiday items).

Peppymint strikes me as like, a scheme that doesn’t know if it wants to be for spring or summer. Def not winter or fall.

When looking for more to pair with the hat for this avi I realized that about a third of Paw Peppymint poses are from other winter sets/recolors [2016, 2017, 2019].

I skipped caroling last year due to being so busy with work, so I was gonna consider myself lucky if we got last year's items as recolors. A finger on the monkey's paw curls...
