i don't think so. he often refers to Frued's theories on sexual development as if it's a credible source.

How often is "often"? Have you seen it in other threads?
yes, during my own conversations with him as well as other people's conversations with him.

I guess that might indicate that he does believe Freud. But I still can't deny the possibility that he's a really good troll with Freud.
he's a socialist and constructionist.

but you can ask him yourself. i think he is very serious with his belief in Freud's work.

Just like Hentai for bestiality the way i see it.
Not that id pass any judgement onto Furries, but me personaly, not into it...Ill keep furries to fuzzy legging girls wear at raves.

Doesn't work because Bestiality implies humans having sex with animals. There are like 0 people in the anthro fandom into bestiality. 0 as in, in comparison to the group at large.

Really?

So, in a group, filled full of people who want to have sex with animal like creatures, you believe, there's probs like, no-one in there, who wants to have sex with animal like creatures?

I looked it up, apparently there has been one or two people who actually advertised themselves as perverts in such a fashion but the community drops them practically in an instant when it is found out. And, it doesn't help that apparently there are people out there who derive aesthetic visual pleasure from four legged creatures.

Greedy Receiver

Bestiality and Zoophilia are completely different from being a fur enthusiast. Commonly, being a furry or furry enthusiast simply means you are a fan of the fandom, not that you have a sexual inclination towards animals. A person who partakes in bestiality, feels sexual gratification towards animals, and wishes to have a fulfilling sexual (or nonsexual) relationship with an animal is a zoophile.

Well, take a look at "doggy-style" sexual positions and whatnot. You have to admit that it makes for a damned good view.

I could argue that it does indeed. Usually, furries identify as animals, so to say that you did not like them as they were (an animal) would be invalidating their identity and also rude. Other furries do not feel that way, so then it would not be a case of being attracted to animals.

I'd like to point out that most like to be portrayed as anthropomorphic, while there are some who find it more interesting to be portrayed as a "feral", or normal anatomically correct animal. These feral furries like the challenge that comes with not being able to communicate with speech, or have a telepathic attribute. Still, it is not all about sex because, believe it or not, a lot of furries do not RP sexually, rather that they find animalistic characteristics interesting and different from being a furless meat bag where at its base everyone looks basically the same.

Were you separating the distinct differences between "attracted" as sexually and "attracted" as a unique interest? Because I'm curious as to why you would agree at the base of the OP, AKA the thread title.

Your wording of your sentences makes no sense, to be fully honest.

That aside, from what I gathered from your response, I was agreeing because it depends on the type of furry that the person identifies as, as well as the attraction that is there. While it may offend you, even though you're a furry, there are other furries who would feel offended if the person or therian that they were with felt that it WASN'T animal-loving. I do not see bestiality (or beastiality, I don't understand the spelling) as wrong, so that may be why I'm perfectly fine with calling it that.

Honestly I feel many Therians are posers and only put on a facade because it's quirky or unique. That being said, while most bestiality isn't wrong (while others can be quite harmful), isn't zoophilia a more appropriate word, as those who are zoophile attempt to have a meaningful love relationship with an animal while bestiality is a lust or general turn-on that may or may not come with emotional attachment?

But yes, it does vary, and for the most part there are cliques in each fandom, amirite?

How is being a furry anything like being a fandom? And no, being therian is not such a thing. There are many other identities that are falsified and honestly fake, but identifying more with a certain animal is not. And perhaps. I've not really looked into the meaning of zoophilia before, so I'd have to do my research on that before giving you a finalized response.

Just like they have anime conventions and sci-fi conventions, there are furry conventions. It is totally a fandom, because there is an area of entertainment to BE a fan of.

Okay, Therian was explained to -me- by another furry while I was a newb that a Therian believes that they have the soul of an animal. While I do question the existence of souls, identifying with a certain animal is not, to me, what makes a Therian nor "gives" them the "soul" of an animal. I feel that my fursona, based off a lioness, does have some things in common with my own character or attributes that I like and think I see in myself. Simply because I admire lions does not mean that I have a soul of a lioness.

I hate to say it, but I think that you learned from someone who knows nothing about what being a furry is. I know many people in that lifestyle who would agree with you completely. And it is so rude to say that it's a fandom just because there are furry conventions. There are BDSM conventions, and BDSM is NOT a fandom. There are conventions so that other like-minded people can come together and enjoy things with each other, not because it's a "fandom."

Um, there are plenty of entertainment that includes anthro animals. Are we not familiar with the Lion King, Bugs Bunny, or Loony Toons? We grow up with these characters as entertainment, become enthralled by them, yet when we get older we are expected to grow out of it? Poppy c**k, I daresay. As adults we exercise our imagination, creating our own personal off-shoots of what we grew up loving. How can you say that it is not a fandom?
Seems like it, lol
