Welcome to Gaia! ::

Okay, I think I'll just abandon Super Sonic. It doesn't sound like a great move.
T-eye-ger
Kikkeh
I know it's the Chatterbox, but if there are any that could spare a few minutes..

I started playing Pokemon Yellow today. I currently have a Level 18 Butterfree, trying to learn Super Sonic. Problem is, I can't decide what move to kick out, or whether Super Sonic is worth learning at all.

My moves are currently:

Sleep Powder
Poison Powder
Stun Spore
Confusion

Thank you!

If I remember correctly supersonic just confuses the opponent if it hits, if you were going to switch I would get rid of the stun spore, all it does is paralyze and sleep is so much better for that as the other pokemon can not attack while asleep.

Good point, thank you!
Be sure to teach your Butterfree wing attack I think it is in the early twenties that it learns that. A good flying move against fighting and grass.
your moveset should be Psychic ~ Mega Drain ~ Sleep Powder ~ Stun Spore
Poverty Stricken

Thanks. I thought in the future I would use Toxic, but this sounds like a great set.
Kick out stun spore.
Poison powder and super sonic are secondary status changers, can have as many as you want on the target.
Sleep powder and stun spore replace each other
The problem with that line up is if you paralyze the pokemon and then put it asleep when it wakes up it will no longer be paralyzed, in effect you healed it of the status effect.
