I see users in exchange item forum, very many of them still they use the gaia gold and not platinum.

Deedee would like to implode you to use platinum!! If a user is in exchange, they are user who is very money minded. They have the mind on the money and the money on the mind! They like to make the money, yes?

Do they know they make very much more money when they switch to platinum currency?

Very much more money with every post.

Users who are in the platinum currency, when they make daily entry they earn 1.8k platinum! That is more than 18 billion gold! They give comment on journal or person profile, they earn addition 1.2k platinum or more than 12 billion gold!

If person is gold user, they earn garbage bonus! Less than 1 single plat for first journal entry. Less than 1 single plat for comment. Less than 1 single plat for every post!

Why do user want to earn less money?

Also, more difficult to read number! You post item in gold for sale, you must sit there and count 0, make sure to not miss single zero or very big mistake and loss! Buyers in exchange must sit and count zero.

With platinum, much easier to list and read number.

If you are still gold user? Why are you doing this? Please stop!! Please to use platinum!!

My friend just logged in after a long time but i cant remember how to convert gold to plat do you by chance know?

It's super easy! Just go to your My Gaia tab in the top left, then "Account Settings", and then scroll down and on the left side there's an option to select "currency type". Just switch to plat from there! heart

I assume most exchanger likely use platinum, but talk gold, because gold is the gold standard, its just numbers people are used to thinking in.

Like its easier to talk T (65T for a halo) than 6.5mp likely just being used to what people are used to.

Also when 99% of you income comes from exchanging items, earning 10kp a day from first actions may not be enough to care about.

who cares? i mean if gaia's gonna force the change they'll force the change but in the meantime people do as they will. i'm flexible enough to know my conversions so i'm not bothered by either currency.

You'd think that, but as someone who frequents the exchange a lot of sellers even specifically ask to post offers in gold cause they don't immediately know the plat conversion. Which would heavily imply they're using gold.

I also make most of my profit buying/selling items. But I just dont understand why if there was literally a switch you could toggle that said "would you like to earn more money?" and people intentionally would choose "no".

Sadly it does seem that most users in exchange have stuck to gold. And I'd def like to encourage them to switch. For their own benefit even.

For sure, I mean it's not a HUGE deal. I'm not losing sleep over here. But I personally would prefer if as many people as possible made the switch and would be 100% in support of Gaia forcing the switch to make things easier.

it's mostly because they don't care to make their money via posting but rather by selling items in their inventory.

me personally before the LK changes, i farmed in gold because it was more viable than platinum for years. also i make all my money off the mp and exchange so whatever plat is earned in posting is nothing.

so for flippers and hustlers they're not too concerned about the paltry differences between currencies via posting or the dailies.
