Hello, my name is Ben B. I've been off and on gaia for going on 18 years. However, I've mostly kept to myself. When I was introduced to gaia, I was also introduced to the OMG. My friend convinced me to buy a real one from the physical store and we wore them to school in 2006 lol. Since then, even now, my time is dedicated to earning money to save for an OMG and I've made some decent progress. I spend more time on here now than ever so I figured it was time for something more than fiddling with my avi and blindly poking around the site on my own.

I'd like to keep a topic open for my quest progress. I'm not asking for charity or anything free at all. I do pretty good for myself and I thought I stood to gain some knowledge at least on the subject and some good conversation could result that may help others in the future. So far, in the last year, I went from 400 plat to ~6.5M flipping classic items. Currently, my money is tied up in item to sell but I will know for sure once they are gone. I'd love to talk about ways to progress on my quest, possible items that are good to flip at that price range, and I can post about what items I've managed to procure and how much I would take for them and still progress.

Any thoughts, ideas, input of any kind would be appreciated. Maybe it's a horrible idea, maybe no one cares but if even three people are interested, it would give me something to look forward to, more reason to log in. I need some friends lol. Let me know what you think.

Wow that's a long time. Well item market you have play hero/villain if your item in the market only one got try get most plat/gold you can if more people start posting same item then helps you especially people start quickly buying them and value goes up. Depends on you and what road you take.

I definitely price my stuff as high as I can on the marketplace, but if someone wanted to help me out on my quest by buying something of mine, I would take much less. As long as everybody is happy. If I have something in my store that you want, we can talk about it.

I usually only have a few items at a time for sale. I currently have an Emo Bag and a Skullkit in my store. They are listed for the top dollar that I've actually sold them for in the past, regardless of other listings. I have nothing but time. However, the price is much lower for anyone who finds them through here. Send me a message and we will figure out how to help each other out.

I don't really know what to expect with this. This may fizzle out. I'm kinda flying by the seat of my pants as usual. It feels kinda like a journal atm.

Today was unproductive really, I did the dailies and had my avatar favorited for the second time. That was cool. I'm ok waiting for top dollar tho in the marketplace. They always sell but sometimes I have to wait till mine is the only one. I'm just not big on relisting tons of items so I usually deal with 1 or 2 expensive ones to earn more profit with less effort but more waiting. So, at this point, I'm just waiting. Most of my money is tied up in those two items.

I'm getting close to the goal. I can smell it. That old nemesis, the OMG, is getting closer and closer to being mine. I figure once I sell what I have, I can buy one or two more big items to flip and I should have enough to make a serious offer on one. I can't describe to you the excitment and anticipation that has built over this in the past almost two decades. I've sold some items I would have liked to have kept, but I'd rather be naked with an OMG than have anything else. It will happen. It will happen.

I'm not going to ask for charity but I'd obviously be down for trading. If anyone has an OMG that would be down, I could try to obtain the necessary item/s for a trade. I have a strange knack for getting things at really low prices. Eventually I will have one if I keep doing what I'm doing. It would make for a cool experience tho to find someone to help finsih out my quest in a different way. 18 years is a long time and deserves a good ending. I'd only be down tho if everyone involved came out happy. I wouldn't take one. I'd have to at least give you everything I own. Old bugs and all. It has to be my hard work that does it. Period.

I really appreciate it but I couldn’t take money. Even virtual money like this takes time to earn and I have a hard time justifying it in my mind. I would trade you tho if you would be down for that. It would have to be on your terms tho.

I guess if someone just straight up tipped a post of mine or something like that, I wouldn’t complain. I’ve never declined cash shoved in my pocket. I’ll run from you, but if you manage to tackle me and shove a fiver in my pocket. I’ll leave it there. This actually happened to me the other day. She didn’t tackle me but an old lady shoved $10 into my hoodie pocket at a gas station for helping her open her gas cap. I made her work for it but she got it in there. I put in in our gas tank and we drove home.
