How do you survive without TekTek?

But actually, there's a workaround. You can add items you don't own when you're in dressup. When you search for items just switch from 'My Invetory' to 'All Gaia' and you'll be set.

Yah, this is what I'm using. Was a shock to come back and find Tektek gone.

Damn I miss tek tek. And how long has it been now with gaia's version of it being down?
I'm starting to think they don't really want to put it back up and are just doing what they did with ZOMG.

My friends on here and I refer to the avatar builder as "Not TekTek"

I never relied on Tektek in the first place. meaning the removal of it meant nothing. I usually just make an avi of what i got in my Invo.

I used to use TekTek back when it was still around. Now, I just search using color tags, and tags like armmod or legmod. the What's That Item and Colour Guide threads have links to immensely useful guides and lists of items.

I believe the owner of the site had created advertisements for something using Gaia's artwork, and Gaia had actually put out an offer for Tektek and Gaia to work together, but the owner decided to shut down tektek instead

although, I remember there being complaints about the site crashing/not being updated in the final few months of tektek's existence, so maybe the owner of that site was just done with tektek?

What happened to tektek? I made my profile theme through it and when I logged on again it was crazy, then the website was gone.
Haven't been on in 3/4 years before this week.
