Suki broke up with Sokka in the promise part 2

Sokka and Suki didn't break up. Mai broke it off with Zuko coz Zuko was being a douchebag. TBH they're my OTP but if Zuko is gonna behave like that, Mai deserves better.

There is nothing, however, to indicate that Suki and Sokka have broken up.

There was that reason and the fact that Sokka wanted to get away from the Aang and Katara PDA love fest going on all around him. Nothing says Anti Oogies like spending time yelling at the Dunderheads. He saw the perfect escape in the form of Toph and the class she's teaching. xp

And while it may be inconsequential there was the one chick in Toph's class with the shoe obsession that had been hanging off Sokka the entire time until he stopped looking remotely interesting to him. I do think the OP read too much into that and used that and the friendship brewing between Suki and Zuko to confirm what she wanted to be true.

If anything, the Sokka stuff felt more like a comedy subplot for part two and a good beginning point for what will eventually become the Republic City Police Department to me.

confused Wish... as much as I love you as a good friend, I have to call BS on this. Not only that, but your whole thing about the creaters where going to do Zuko and Katara wasn't true either. I looked it up everywhere, and even got in contact with one, and they said it was never going to happen, never planned. I don't know where you come up with this stuff.

The only thing I can think of is something from the Avatar Magazine that featured a game that said something to the degree of 'Do you think Zuko and Katara are meant for each other? Prove it by pairing the words below to form a path from Katara to Zuko'. Though to my knowledge that magazine was not made by the creators.

Actually, no one knows really what's going on with Sokka and Suki, as the Kyoshi warriors where hired to protect Zuko after he went crazy sause. She didn't break up with him, by the looks of it Suki is slowly getting more then protective feelings over Zuko.

Which is rather suprising but makes a bit of sense.

She's been following Zuko, and was hired to make sure he'd be okay and in turn told Mai what was going on with Zuko in hopes that Mai would help Zuko. It back fired, she apologized to Zuko and expressed her concern over him.

Sokka during the book went with Toph to the metal bending school, because Suki was off in the Fire Nation so he decided to spend some time with Toph to catch up and learn about the school she opened. Then when the Fire teacher appeared trying to boot them out, he staid around to help out Toph and the students the best he could.

They didn't break up, there was no scene where the two broke up explicitly. It can be read that Suki and Sokka are drifting apart because they are off doing sperated things from each other, but the relationship with Toph and Sokka still holds very true to their friendship that was shown in the show. Not much else beyond that, expect for maybe Tophs sad story to Sokka but even then that wasn't anything new or showing any romantic interaction at all.

Suki and Zuko on the other hands can be seen a different way. Suki appears to be showing interests in Zuko, but not the other way around at all as of yet. As Zuko just gets dumped by Mai because of Sukis meddling.
