i draw skinny people because my fatter people look very odd and un-human ._.

I draw myself as I see myself. That is, decently skinny. I don't enjoy drawing fat people because I'm bad at it (via not doing it enough.)
I think it mostly has to do with your own abilities as an artist. If you don't know what your stomach looks like when you lay down you might draw it too skinny. Stuff like that.

And as a side note: I think I actually draw myself with smaller boobs than I actually have because I'd feel like I was lying if I accidentally drew them too big.

*nods* and let's face it, drawing the lineart of a person makes them look bigger than they are if you don't include the shading. Many times I have started to draw a skinny body and it looked HUGE until I added the final touches.

I've never drawn myself but I'm sure I'd draw myself larger than I already am. I'm REALLY skinny so it's easier to exaggerate a little xp .

...I wonder who the hell would consider six feet tall and 100 pounds weighted girl "healthy" looking, which is, sorry to say this, quite typical body size among animu and cartoon drawings? (Ok, maybe not with these exact assets, yet the BMI is quite much same in several cases, where as models have about one third less than that.)

I draw myself a bit thinner, but I never draw my tummy flat. I've got cute belly and I want to show it to the whole world. :B

Weeellll.... When I draw myself, with like.... a WAY too perfect body >.< But like... Isn't that kinda what everyone wants? The ideal body? Because as the media makes it out to be, that's the "best" thing. Which is sad, don'tcha think? Because some people are actually really nice but don't get treated like they should because they "Don't have an ideal (or "hot"/very nice) body". :s When I draw other people... I give them "perfect" bodies too. Gah, sorry for my little rant crying The Media really pisses me off, though. >:[

Hmm, I recently did a rl commission of a dude and his family, only to have to re-do it because I apparently made him look "too fat." Except, I drew him exactly as he appeared... gonk

Anyway, when drawing myself, I try not to change much, though I probably draw myself a bit smaller. I think I'm a bit fleshy, with huge boobs and over-sized man feet. So I just make everything smaller, so it fits. My parts got mixed up in the people factory and now my body parts don't match. I should get a refund.
