Setting aside the fact that animation frames can't develop skin conditions, I neither have seen any characters with acne. However, this is very possibly because the Japanese lifestyle encourages keeping your body very clean. Because of this, you'll rarely see Japanese people in real life with rotted out teeth or various other hygiene issues. And along with dark skin and obesity, because it isn't too common amongst the Japanese, it may not be commonly depicted in anime.

Do you typically see real people on television with acne? Nope. For the same reason you don't see characters with acne in anime; nobody wants to see an ugly person lmao

Very interesting point... I never thought about why they didn't have acne - I just assumed it would make the character less popular, while the artists seem to be focusing on a lot of femboys and sexy girls these days. So to please the fans, the artwork includes more prettied-up people. Thus the lack of acne on characters, no matter how popular or important.
