Also thanks so much to the person who revived a needless and already dead thread. [/sarcasm]

Amazing. I wasn't aware that less than a week (which happens to be less time than it takes each episode to be released) could be denoted as a "dead thread". It's true after all: You CAN learn something new every day.

ON topic.
Of course the first few episodes of brotherhood are moving rather quickly: it's aiming not to copycat the first anime and seeing as how it's basically fan service, they expect those watching are going to want to see something different. The first series covered quite a lot as it was. Now, there are quite a lot of good scenes missing from Brotherhood. Spoilers will be spared.
The series is actually doing, in my opinion, a fantastic job of showing us things in the manga that the first series didn't even brush past let alone touch.

Now then.
Who the hell said that originals are always better?? IF this be so, then you have just debunked your own statement: seeing as how the manga came first, and the plot of the first series had about as much to do with the manga as a chicken egg has to do with a lobster... do you want to try and make sense of that? Because I think I rest my case.
Don't b***h about something if you don't even have the gall to watch it first.

haha, yeah i guess you can learn something new. And i figured that was the reason that they were moving quickly at the beginning. I just don't want what happened to naruto and bleach (filler-filled) to happen to FMA.
In the Manga it moves rather fast. They are trying to go directly by the original Plot-line and Manga, and since it moves rather fast in that, it'll move fast in the new OVA. 3nodding
So in where did the original anime go in its own direction? I wanna know when Brotherhood would start slowing down the story flow.

Okay, you got it wrong.

It was the original Anime that threw things off. Brotherhood is called an 'OVA', Original Version Anime.

Meaning this is the PROPER Plotline that the Mangaka had originally wanted.

Here's the thing, the producers thought the Manga went too fast, and thus decided to change it around and give it more of a background. They swayed too far from the Mangaka's original idea that he got fed up, and wasn't happy with the ending. So he decided to make an OVA.

Meaning that you've got things backwards, this is the REAL version, the one first intended by the Mangaka, and the First FMA was more or less the slightly unhappy first version done by him. =3

Nah, short and sweet, it's only going to be 52.
I'm confused.

I'm confused.

In other words, The first version of the anime was the changed, ******** up plot version.

Brotherhood is the real version intended by the Mangaka. (Guy who draws it? -_- )

And yes, I am serious. =3

Okay, I'll just answer this one. lol It deviated around the Greed arc in the first one.

Thanks.

Imiko_Naru_Roan, yeah. I pretty much already knew that. That's why I asked where the plot went in it's own direction towards the unintended ending in the original.

It doesn't seem to be going too fast to me at all...
I knew that there would be less episodes than manga chapters...

It looked serious to me... you haven't even heard MY explanation yet.

I'll share, for everyone.

The first FMA manga, plot-wise. It's like if you take the manga up till something like volume 10, rip every single page out and put them all into a blender, throw the bits around and then collect them again. Paste half of them together at random, then fill in the blanks with nonsense. Viola! The first Anime storyline!

Brotherhood on the other hand is taking the bigger plot chunks from the manga, directly, and sewing them together so well that it IS a decent anime adaptation of the manga.

AKA:
Manga + Brotherhood = win 4laugh
First Anime = lolwut. stare
